Dakine's Women's Session w/ 70 oz. Reservoir has slightly more volume than the minimalist Shuttle. It's built for fast riders; fast up and fast down. If you don't want to be encumbered by your pack, but still need to carry some armor for your ripping descents, come take a look-see at the Session pack. The first thing you notice is it's trim shape; just a couple zippers and some straps to secure knee guards or extra clothing. There's an externally accessible, open pouch with expandable mesh sides. Stuff a rain shell or food in there for easy retrieval. The larger open pouch can hold small elbow guards, arm/knee warmers when the sun comes out, or interesting rocks you might find on the trail. Zip open the large main compartment where there's a dedicated pump sleeve and a padded MP3 player pocket with a headphone port for your easy listening pleasure. The smaller, zipped compartment has a zipped mesh pocket and an elastic mesh pocket to control all your chaos. Top it off with an external, zippered, fleece-lined sunglass pocket and what more do you need? Dakine's Flowlock reservoir to hold your fluid, of course! The Session comes with a 70 oz. (2 liter) Flowlock Reservoir; enough water for a two-hour-plus ride, and enough innovative features to make you swear off all other reservoirs. The redesigned for 2009 Flowlock Reservoir sports a roll-top opening which makes adding liquid or drink mix a simple, spill-free operation. Another nice touch is the new ergonomic 90 bite valve with pull-on/push-off leak- proof operation. Our favorite features on the Flowlock are the clip that integrates with Dakine packs to keep the reservoir upright during loading, and the magnificent detachable hose, allowing you to bring just the reservoir to the sink for a fill up. The separate, zippered reservoir compartment makes it easy to fill up for a ride.
