Stands with drawers were special conveniences in Shaker sewing shops. We make the Two-Drawer Sewing Stand in clear hard maple, like the original. Height is 25 1/ 2". Top measures 21" x 18". Beautifully dovetailed drawers are 3 1/ 2" x 5 1/ 4" x 16 1/ 2" long. Sold in Medium Stain with Lacquer Finish.

Step stools provide easy access to the tall chests of drawers and built-in cupboards seen in every Shaker village. Three steps make this one particularly practical. It is a duplicate of one made at the Hancock, Massachusetts Shaker community in the 19th century. The original is in the collection of the Shaker Museum and Library in Old Chatham, New York. We make the Hancock Step Stool in clear Eastern white pine. Height is 24". Width 17 1/ 4". Depth 14 1/ 4". Steps are each 4 1/ 2" deep. Shown painted green, like the original.

We make these Peg Shelves in solid, clear Eastern white pine. Holes bored 6" apart. Complete with maple Shaker pegs, ready for assembly and finishing. Stain or paint not included. Overall height 13". Shown in Medium Stain with Lacquer Finish. This furniture kit contains all the materials needed, except the finishing supplies, including sandpaper, hardware, and simple step-by-step instructions. Each component has been precisely fashioned to assure an accurate fit before you do the final hand sanding and finishing. Only common hand tools are needed to assemble our kits.
