I had heard about 39dollarglasses on a website I frequent and although the price seemed too good to be true, I went ahead and ordered from them.
My Dad also needed a new pair of reading glasses, so I talked him into getting a pair as well. We both went to Sears Optical Center, had our eye exams done, and then I attempted to place my order online with 39dollarglasses.
You have the choice of entering in the prescription information onto their website yourself or you can fax a copy of the prescription to them. Not wanting to accidentally enter false information, I chose to fax it. A day later, I received a call from them and the customer representative informed me that they couldn't read some of the information on the prescription. She asked me what it said. I'm not an Optometrist so I had no idea what those letters and numbers meant. So, I ended up having to call my doctor's office, ask his secretary to pull my chart and verify the information, and then I called 39dollarglasses back with that information.
That's really the only issue I had with this company. I felt that them calling me, their customer and asking me to get the information they needed, was unprofessional. My doctor's telephone number was right there on the prescription and they should dealt with him, business to business, rather than involve their customer.
Other than that little issue, everything else went off without a hitch. They finally had all of the information they needed and I was able to place the order completely.
As I stated earlier, I ordered two pairs of glasses and both pair were absolutely fine. They feel great, look great, and work great. The price was good and they arrived in a prompt manner.
I would recommend them to a friend and I would order from them again myself.
