The only complaint I have is that I haven't received my delivery yet. It's been picked up at the warehouse as of 7/29 but I have no way of finding out what day they will be delivering. Very hard to make arrangements to be home upon delivery!!!

First time shopping experience exceeded all expectations!! Great price and great delivery service. Washer and dryer arrived in perfect condition. Delivery guys were courteous and helpful. I am going to shop online at AJ Madison in the near future for a refrigerator and an upright freezer.

The layout of the website was superior to any other merchant. You could sort by virtually any paramter (in my case, depth of the appliance). A few simple clicks and the product was at my door in a few days.

Well, they worked great for me. I ordered a dishwasher from AJ Madison because it was well priced, then read the vitriolic reviews on this site, and almost canceled my order in a panic. However, everything went very smoothly. Delivery was easy to schedule and immediate (I think I could have had it the next day if I wanted ) - granted, this was a local (NYC) delivery so my experience may be different from long distance orders. I changed the delivery date without a problem. Delivery was on time (within a given 3 hour window). I called customer service twice, once to change the date and once to ask a question about removal. The first time I was connected after about five minutes of holding, with frequent updates as to my status. The second time, it was Sunday and customer service was closed, but I called back Sales and they answered my question. The delivery/installation guys just left and they were efficient and pleasant. Dishwasher seems to work well, at least on a dry run.

Ordered 5 kitchen major kitchen appliances May 29, 2008 from Mark Moreno. Received entire order June 20, 2008 (at 6:10 am) by two very helpful delivery men. After unpacking later that day, found everything in showroom condition.
The order consisted of Electrolux 30 inch Smoothtop Electric Cooktop priced at $1149.99. Electrolux Single Electric Wall Oven priced at $1799.00 Whirlpool 24.5 cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator @ 2159.00 Kitchen Aid Fully Integrated Dishwasher priced at 4839.00 Kitchen Aid Continuous Waste Disposer Priced at $359.00 Elkay Undermount Double Bowl Stainless Steel Sink @ $529.00 I must say that I was apprehensive about placing a $6800.00 order with AJ because of the numerous negative comments that have been posted in reviews. But everything was acceptable in my case. |

I purchased an Air Conditioner. It was delivered in 2 days. They left me a message that it would arrive between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. I requested 20 minutes notice. They called at 4:00 and it was delivered 20 minutes later. They opened the box so I could inspect it. Delivery was fast, accurate, and on time. Great experience.

I wished I had checked for this company's reviews before ordering from them. They are terrible to deal with after you have placed and confirmed your order. Customer Service reps are snotty and evasive and will argue with you regardless of your position.

Delivery speed was appalling. I ordered two items, one of which took six weeks to arrive, the other took a mere four weeks but arrived damaged and had to be sent back.
Calling their customer "service" line involves 20-30 minutes on hold before you're put through to irritatingly disinterested callcenter staff who give you vague and misleading information. They also have no way of automatically putting order tracking information onto the tracking page: you must call them up to find out the status of your order, typically receiving a different ETA each time. Only when you have the good fortune to call after your item(s) have shipped do you get the courtesy of a tracking number. They also send items without a signature being required for receipt, yet their terms are "you must check your item for damage before accepting receipt". How are you supposed to check if you (a) don't receive updated tracking info, and (b) run the risk of fedex or ups just leaving the package at your doorstep without you being involved in receipt. |

Although the experience buying online was what a customer should expect (e.g. good value, intuitive, multiple payment options, the customer service experience has much to be desired.
I purchased an outdoor grill top on May 17th with standard freight. Upon repeated checking of the order status Yellow Freight finally acknowledged receipt and transfer arrangements for June 4th. No delivery was ever made. For three days I have been unable to get AJ Madison via phone as the 800 number is continuously busy. I have since sent 3 emails with no responses. The time my wife and i have spent following up on this and taking off work to ensure we were home for delivery that never occurred is far more expensive then what we saved. As of this writing I still don't have a product, but AJ Madison has my money, it is an extremely bad experience. I believe if they were really committed to customer service I would not be posting this. |

I found the exact product I wanted at a reasonable price, with free delivery and zero sales tax -- amazing! The online tracking didn't work because the item was sent freight -- by the company's on truck from NJ to CA. We got a call the day before letting us know they'd be out to deliver and they even hit their delivery window as stated.
I could not be more impressed with AJ Madison, they run a great business!

I ordered the goods on May 10th, which is almost three weeks ago.
The sink arrived on May 23rd, damaged in transit and was sent back again. I have no idea where my faucet is.
The sink was sent "no signature required" and it was lucky that I had time to open and inspect and to find out that it wasn't in an acceptable state, as the FedEx driver was on his way back to his van.
When I try and call AJ Madison, I generally have to wait on hold for nearly half an hour before speaking to someone, however when I do get through the support experience is pleasant.
Overall though, there is much that needs to be improved upon.
I saved myself $140 by shopping online rather than with a local retailer in California. I am now wondering if $140 would not have been money well spent...

The stove in question (Premier Pro Series) wasn't listed on the AJ Madison website search locator but when I "Googled" the stove, AJ Madison was listed as one of the merchants?! Weird.
The stove is wonderful and my wife and I were able to install it ourselves. Be advised though that the instruction for converting the stove from natural gas to LP (propane) were incomplete, regarding changing the burner orfices (had to lift out the metal tubes first). When installing the rear shelf, the bracket holes didn't align correctly with the stove frame. Had to drill new holes but oh well.

I live on an island , off of an island, and when I ordered a washer, dryer and dishwasher, I was assured that delivery was included in the price. When a problem arose over the ferry cost to the second island, AJMadison took care of it promptly , and with no fuss. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I just placed an order and then found a lot of reviews that concern me. It does appears that the most negative are older, so I hope that there won't be any issues.
Ordering was the easy part and the prices great. Delivery was confirmed for the following day (incredibly), but changed in a few hours to 4 days out. Still not bad if it comes. I will keep you posted. |

The delivery did not happen as promised. They missed 2 scheduled delivery dates. On the day of delivery the installers left dents in the door frame. The refrigerator turned out to be defective, may not be the store's fault, but it was very difficult dealing with them to resolve the issue. To date the issue has not been resolved. The store has reneged on 2 offers to replace the unit, then they offered a refund, however, they reneged on this offer as well.

My husband found the stove at AJ Madison via internet. We were very impressed with the speed of the delivery as we do live in the rural southwest where delivery can often be problematic.
The stove arrived in good condition and our local gas co. was able to install it the same day. Needless to say, after a week without a functioning oven, we were thrilled. |

I purchased 4 appliances with them, with the promise of getting over $400 in rebates from the ever so polite salesperson, but that was back in Sept 07, and it is now almost May 08 and I still have not received a single penny. I have called them numerouse times, almost weekly, gotten constant assurances that the rebate is coming, and even had it escalated to the manager (supposedly), but it I have yet to see the rebate, or even be able to get this hypothetical manager's name and contact so I can speak to them directly. The sales person was quite nice, but don't let that deceive you since all his words have been empty promises, always saying that I should see the credit in the next few days. That next few days has turned into over 8 months. They seem to do a great job luring you in, but then after you buy, your on your own. Don't expect anything more from them except lipservice at best if you can actually get a hold of someone.

Horrible shopping experience as a Contactor. Unit was damaged within the package itself (not on the outside). They did and will do nothing to replace just the damaged items or a Broan Range Hood. I had to call Broan direct and was totally pleased with how Broan took care of us. AJ Madison was totally worthless. Good price but absolutely no customer service.
