Full review
I ordered 4 toilet repair kits from ANTOnline (AO). AO sent only 3 kits, yet charged me for four. 2 of the 3 kits had broken plastic blister seals and it developed that one of the kits was missing a vital part.
Upon notification, AO sent a fourth kit--but its blister seal was ripped 40% off its cardboard card and was missing numerous pieces. And AO didn't send the promised piece that was missing from the first shipment.
Frustrated, I contacted AO to return all of the kits for a refund. AO in turn pointed to its return policy, to wit: AO never accepts returns more than 30 days from the date the merchandise is ORIGINALLY ordered, and AO never accept returns of merchandise WITH BROKEN SEALS OR MISSING PARTS.
I replied to AO that if it didn't accept my return, I would, among other things, go to forums such as this and relate my experience. AO didn't reply. As I'd purchased the kits via Amazon, Amazon stated it is going to return my money to me and compel ANTOnline to reimburse Amazon. Kudos to Amazon!
I also wrote a very negative--but 100% accurate--review of of my transaction with AO on Amazon's rating site for individual purchases. ANTOnline's posted rebuttal was that I am a scam artist trying to rip off AO!!!
Please remember that in addition to refusing my return, AO had initially charged my credit card for merchandise it didn't ship. And the invoice didn't state, for example, that one kit was backordered. Given what eventually transpired with this "merchant", I'm reluctantly inclined to believe AO hoped I simply wouldn't notice it had billed me for more kits than it had actually shipped.
Frankly, I suspect that ANTOnline probably acquires discarded/problematic merchandise at bargain prices, resells this merchandise to unsuspecting consumers, and steadfastedly refuses to accept return of the shoddy merchandise. It develops I'm not the first reviewer of ANTOnline to reach this conclusion.
As of today's date, ANTOnline has an "Unsatisfactory" rating with the Atlanta, GA Better Business Bureau.
My advice: Steer clear of this "merchant"!
