I purchased a Nikon D700 from these guys on July 28th. When I ordered the sales clerk tried to sell me another battery stating that the battery included only last a half hour. Lie #1.It lasts for several hours. I said no thanks. Then he tried to sell me an extended warranty stating that the warranty was only 90 days. Lie #2. It's one year form Nikon. Again I declined. I told him at checkout that I had a promo code for $10 off. He replied "Of course you do" under his breath. Nice customer service right? I received the camera the following monday to find that the charger and warranty card was missing from the box. I turned the camera on and inserted my memory card and it gave me a bad card error. I went down to my local best buy and put my card in the floor model and it worked fine. I also bought a new card and tried that one in my camera. Still got the error message so the camera was defective. I called and they said the customer service dept was closed and they couldn't do anything until morning. I told them that photography is how I make my living and everyday I don't have a camera I am losing money. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the sales clerk told me there was no supervisor on duty. Finding that hard to believe, I persisted and he finally transferred me to a supervisor. Lie #3. The supervisor (Tony) at first offered me nothing but call back tomorrow. Finally after being persistent he agreed to send me a new camera overnight as soon as I gave him the return tracking number. At that point I was satisfied although annoyed that I had to wait another two days. The next morning I woke up at 7:30 AM to ship out the defective camera. I called Tony with the tracking number and he said don't worry I'll take care of it. Later that day I called to see if my new camera had been shipped yet and they told me that they couldn't send it out until they received the returned camera. There's lie #4. I said fine I just want a camera that works. He guy on the phone said he was sorry and that he was going to send me a $100 restaurant gift certificate for my trouble. Lie #5. Was not in the second shipment. Finally today, Saturday, 12 days after I ordered the camera, I got the replacement. It was still missing the warranty card. I called the VP of the company and he made it right.
