In general, Alibris has given me very good service (though I've only ordered books). The orders have always been accurate if not always especially timely-sometimes things arrive sooner, sometimes they take too long. WHAT customer service??-I have had one totally unsatisfactory experience with one particular seller, and I cannot find any sites for particular seller reviews or to leave complaints, so I'm going to do it here and HOPE it will help someone else. I ordered a book from Alabama Book Recycler, and when it came it was infested with so much mold it made me sick (literally) to even try to read it. One large corner of the hardcover front had gotten so wet at some time, and thus so moldy, that it was bendable. I requested a refund from the seller, who didn't care enough to give me any response whatsoever. While I don't have any real complaints with my various transactions with Alibris, in this respect I feel cheated-I paid for a book, and its shipping, and essentially got nothing for it because the mold is so bad I cannot tolerate even the smell of it, and this is made worse as I am also allergic to it. And after unsuccessfully trying to secure a refund from the seller, it seems I have no recourse even with Alibris. I am NOT happy-I've lost money I cannot afford to lose. Though my experience with Alibris has generally been good, this one incident of being CHEATED, and then with NO RECOURSE has  definitely soured my taste for more.
