I am a frequent shopper on the Amazon web site. I have beenn suing this site for my internet shopping and gift buying for about 7 years or so. The Amazon web site is a well known site. They are also linked to many other on line stores that sell their products through Amazon.com. My daughter had mentioned the Amazon web site to me. I stay in these days due to C.O.P.D so shopping from home is a must for me. My daughter stated that this would be a good site to shop at because they have many products of all kinds to offer at low prices.

What Amazon sells-

On the Amazon site you can buy gifts for any one. The offer baby products of all kinds like blankets, clothing, shoes, room decor, furniture, strollers and more. They also offer clothing for the whole family including sports apparel and name brands. This site has tons of electronics. They have MP3 players, Ipods, stereos, car radios and even computers and accessories. Amazon sells make up, beauty products, shampoos and so much more. the list could go on forever. They even have a section just for toys, gifts, personalized items and more. I like the variety.

The prices:

As far as cost goes. Amazon has the best prices. If you search just through Amazon items you will get great deals and sales. If you go through the whole site search you can find items on clearance and sales from other companies. Shopping directly from Amazon is best for me because they offer free shipping on orders over $25.00 and I always spend more than that when I do shop with them. I would compare the prices to be like Walmart prices or even cheaper at times. The Christmas sales that I just got are the best I have ever seen.

What I bought from Amazon-

Seeing as how I buy from this site a lot. I will start by just mentioning the items that I ordered for Chrustmas this year. I was able to get my grand daughter Hannah Montana dolls at $7.00 and under and also High School Musical items that were way below cost. I bought my baby grand son an animated duck, some clothing and blankets. Then for my other grand son I purchased transformers, a few board games and bedding. As far as other gifts I bought. There were thumb drives for the computer, memory cards and digital frames to use them in. I got sweaters and hooded sweat shirts for a few people. An MP3 player, a few sets of pajamas and more. My whole order came to $160.00 with free shipping. I am still in awe at the price I paid for all of the items that I selected.

To place an order-

Putting the order through is a snap. I picked what I wanted, put it in to my shopping cart and then when I was all done shopping I went back to my cart. There I was able to see the items that I picked, the price total and shipping total which in my case was nothing. Then after I confirmed that every thing I wanted was in my cart I just checked out and paid for my items like always.

Payment and shipping-

You can use an Amazon gift card as payment form, pay pal is accepted, an e-check and you can use credit cards as well. The site is secure and promises not to allow your information up to any one else. You have to give them your billing information and your shipping address to ship to you. Then pick the form of shipping method that you want. Free shipping takes much longer at 8-10 days, they also offer standard, priority, express and over night. The price goes up according to how fast the shipping method is that you chose to use.

Shipping is always fast. I have never waited more then 8-10 days for every order that I have ever placed and to me that is good timing for free shipment. I have never had a package go missing or have any damage to it once it came so I am happy with the shipping that they offer.

Packaging-

All of the orders that I have placed over the years have been packaged well. Amazon uses both bubble wrap and packing peanuts to keep the products safe through the shpping time. The stuff that I have bought fromt his site has always come in perfect condition and always has a return reciept and a copy of the invoice in it. They also email you the order confirmation. Then they email you again the day that your items ship out. They will email for each shipment if the shipments are in other boxes.

Selling-

You are allowed to sell items on the Amazon site. I have to be honest in saying that I have no idea how that works. I have not ever looked in to it because I have no interest in selling items. I shop on line but do not sell items on line. I tried Ebay once and it was time consuming for me to have to go to the post office or wrap the items so I never tried it on Amazon.

Recommendation-

So far I have never had any trouble with orders that I have made on the Amazon web site. I have liked all of the items that I have gotten and I like the prices. They are really cheaper then any other on line store that I have shopped at in the past. I have shopped at many stores on line but none have compared to the price or the ease of ordering the items that I want and like. I would recommend that you give this site a shot. i am really glad that I did.
