Cashed check and claims they do not have any order

My 76 year old father placed an order through their catalog seven weeks ago, the check was cash within 5 days of mailing. He has been very sick, actually under the care of (hospice at home) and wanted a few items to make him comfortable. He ask my sister to check on his order about a month later. Customer service claims they had no order, said call later. After no response, she called me, I contacted the bank and was able to show a cashed check, they claimed they now had to to a search on that check and it would take one week. After a week I called again, they said we do not have that in their notes, it would take two weeks to search the check. I stated I will call tomorrow during the day. At this point I was pretty mad. The next day I called again, and clearly stated the facts of my father and his condition. I spoke with a woman called Mary,(finally a person who cared) and she told me the fax the check copy and write a letter with the order, but I was to send it to the attention of a person named Sue (this is the same person who was suppose to be searching the missing check). I will call again today to see if they got the order. This has to this day, been 45 days. I still have yet to confirm they have the order. They bombard my father with these catalogs. I guess they also take advantage of the elderly. He wants me to order another item but I will not from Healthy Living, a company of Amerimark. They are a ripoff. After reading the reviews of this site I can clearly see they are disorganised and a ripoff. After knowing what my father ordered and the final check he wrote, I can clearly see they ripped him off for the shipping. His check was for about $78.00
