B&H Photo Video Pro Audio

My recent purchase of an HP laptop was my first experience with B&H, but will not be my last. Their price was $250 less than the closest competitor, not including B&H's free shipping. Delivery was excellent. I placed the order on Monday and it was delivered on Thursday by UPS Ground. I had a question before placing my order, so I called B&H customer service and the representative was professional and knowledgable.

I LOVE this store. I boughta Canon 40d from Best Buy before I knew about B&H. So now I have an fairly expensive camera and I need lens and filters. I read about B&H in a camera book. I immediately noticed the prices were cheaper than the local stores. At first I was hesitant because I didn't know about their reputation. I glad I gave them a try, because now I bought a wide angle lens, polarizer for it, and a flash. We even had a question about which polarizer to buy, because we weren't familiar with the term, we called and they answered quickly and explained the term and which lens to buy. Great CS.
The shipping is quick, and inexpensive, usually free, but I upgrade for about $5 and get it even quicker. I'm buying all my camera equipment from them from now on.
Oh, and I bought my video editing software from there too, cheapest price I found on that too.
If you are on the fence give them a try.

On 10/20/2009 I ordered business card scanning software for my company from B&H.  At the time I placed my order the website indicated it could take a full 7 to 14 business days to process my order.  About 14 business days after my order I called B&H customer service to check the status.  The gentleman who answered indicated the software was to be drop shipped from the manufacturer.  He said he would follow-up with the manufacturer and get back to me.  He never called or emailed me with the status of my order.  Today is 11/25/2009 I FINALLY received an email stating my order has now been shipped from the manufacturer, more than a month after I placed my order.  Next time I will make sure I do not order from B&H!

I already knew what I wanted to buy, so I checked a couple of different sites to see where I can find the best price. B&H had it for the best price and they even offered free shipping. The free shipping would've taken a week and a half to arrive, so I got the 3-5 day shipping- for 50 extra cents! I was extremely impressed by that and they even came 2-3 days after I ordered them! I will always check B&H first whenever I purchase electronics and I recommend everyone else to do the same.

This was my second online purchase from this vendor. As with the first, I was totally satisfied with all stages of the transaction.

Their web site described the item correctly in great detail. Entering your zip code and selecting the type of shipping you wanted gave you the date to expect delivery. Soon after placing the order, I received an email showing all details of my order. It was followed up with a second email containing the UPS tracking number, when the item shipped.

I received the item on the expected date. Their outer packaging of the product was excellent which resulted in no damage to the inner box or the product.

I can't comment on customer service since I never had the need to contact them in both buying experiences.

I should also add that their pricing of the product was one of the lowest I could find. I will not hesitate to purchase from this vendor in the future.

Up until now I have had a very good experience dealing with B&H PhotoVideo. But today things changed. I live approximately 50 miles
from my work office and of course I am not home to pick up packages from B&H that are delivered by UPS. So I have been
contacting UPS and picking the package up at my local UPS facility
without any problems. Turns out that B&H has a contract with UPS
that states that they ONLY deliver to the shipping address and to
not allow customers to pick up their packages at the UPS facility
near their home.  In my case, there is no one available to sign for
the deliveries. So now, my current delivery makes it necessary for
me to take time off of work to be home for the delivery myself. Not
a good experience when you figure that delivery times are between
8am and 7pm. There goes the work day. I spoke to B&H about this
issue and was told that the contract has to be enforced. So be aware of picking up packages fron your local UPS facility from
B&H. It won't happen any more.
