I made a recent purchase with Baby Universe and I found a lot of problems with their company. First off they have a price match guarantee for which they are not willing to stand behind. I also made contact with their customer service representatives and the lady was very rude, put me on hold for 5 minutes, did not let me express my needs and would not let me talk to her supervisor. This company also guaranteed same day shipping on the Britax car seats and it has now been three days and my car seat has not shipped nor have they responded to my emails. I will never purchase through this company again!
It is now Monday and I have spoken to 3 different employees of Baby Universe, first to be told my payment has not processed, which was totally untrue, payment was taken out of my account on Friday through Paypal, than I was referred to contact Paypal regarding the matter, did so and it was received by Baby Universe on Friday. Contacted Baby Universe the second time and proceeded to jump through all the hoops the CSR was giving me and then placed on hold for a while. Then she proceeded to tell me the car seat I ordered was out of stock. I was not very happy because my little Princess picked the Madison print out and that is what she wanted. I let the lady know I was very upset with the company's un professionalism and why did Baby Universe still have that car seat advertised as available if it is not. I honestly think it is a ploy to draw customers in and then sell you the not so popular color of that car seat. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she started to argue with me and I let her know again I wanted her supervisor. She hung up on me. I was slightly irritated to say the least. I immediately call back again, told the CSR that I wanted the supervisor and no one else, don't tell me the person is unavailable or at a meeting, it was not acceptable. I talked to the supervisor, she apologized several times and cancelled my order for the Madison and ordered the Onyx for me. She then told me it would arrive on Wednesday, we will see and I will update then. I am not happy with the color choice but I also want my little Princess to be safe and that is most important factor with all of this and she is about to exceed the weight limit in her car seat and I need this one ASAP.
