Waiting for a resolution on order never received

Last September, I ordered an item from barebabies.com and paid $119 with my Paypal account. The first few emails I sent about delivery were answered and they claimed that the item would ship within a week. After a few weeks, the email address was no longer valid and it was too late for me to put a chargeback claim into Paypal. Soon I was reading blogs on the Internet of several other customers, most of whom bought strollers for over $500. Just this week, I saw that the website is up and running again. I wrote and asked for my item or a refund. I hope this story has a happy ending, and I'll post it either way when I find out if they will now resolve this.

I ordered a Mutsy stroller from BareBabies and received it quickly. I emailed customer service once about the order and received an answer within hours. I will definately will do business with them again.

Horrible, horrible customer service. I wanted to cancel an order that was taking forever to ship out (4 weeks +). I had no problem canceling the order, but they had already charged my credit card even though the item had not shipped out. So, when they canceled the order, they never refunded my credit card. (On purpose, I suspect.) I had to call and email customer service numerous times, with no response. At one point, they actually sent me an email claiming that they refunded my credit card, but this never showed up! (It even had a fake reference number and everything!) Once I finally got ahold of someone, she said she would "take a message" for customer service, and someone would get back to me. Guess what? Yep, they never called or emailed me back. Finally, I threatened to file a dispute with my credit card company, and magically, my credit card was refunded the next day. Find a better store to shop at!!!!

I purchased a peg perego train on 6/29/08 and it took them over a month to ship it to me. I sent it back because it was a present for my son and I recieved it after his birthday party. I am waiting still from august for my refund and have contacted the BBB and reported them. They will not reply to me and the BBB has not recieved a reply either. Their site has magically dissapeared also! This is a nightmare and I am now out $160.00. If anyone knows of a way to contact them since their telephone number is not on the reciept and email address no longer exists please let me know! |

I have a very bad experience with barebabies.com. I wonder if they are out there to do business or defraud people.I ordered a peg perego car seat of $224.99 since Aug '08 and up till now October '08, I have neither received the product nor my refund for non availability. They actually sent a mail about 6weeks after the order to say that they could not get my exact order and requested if i wanted a substitute which i totally rejected and asked for a refund. They charge your credit card account even when they are not sure of availability.
Their customer service is poor and will never recommend them to anyone. The worst of the story is that their website never comes up on the net any longer and emails to their customer service keep coming back. Does anyone know how we can link this company? I am not sure if they are not a total fraud. I am not satisfied at all. How do we get our money back bacause most of the reviews read are similar to my story. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from them.PLS HELP |

Bad experience with Barebabies
I ordered and paid for a bassinet from barebabies one month ago; we have not received our purchased product yet nor can I get a satisfying answer of them by email. 2 weeks ago they said they would contact the manufacturer and then get back with me. I have not heard from them since. Since my due date is still in the future we are not that much in a hurry. Still I would like to know what is going on. At this point the money is gone, no product and no service. I am suspicious now, that something might be wrong with that company or their web page. Does anyone know their customer phone number? I could not find it on the web page. I ordered a mutsy stroller on September 12th and now October 15th, still no stroller! I've emailed and called them but no reply or answer. I even called Mutsy and they told me that when they get orders from Barebabies that they ship them out right away and she had no way of tracking my order. Since I can't get in touch with anyone at barebabies I'm going to have to dispute the charges with my credit card company because they had no problem taking that when I placed my order. My daughter is about to give birth and now we're going to have to order it from another website because this stroller is only available online.

I bought a Mutsy stroller the day after my son was born. Two days later I got the frame for the stroller, which I love. However, for some reason, the other half of the stroller (the Lime-colored SEAT) still hasn't shown up. It has been 6 weeks and 1 day.

I have ordered from Bare Babies twice, one a Mutsy stroller and just last week a Maxi Cosi car seat. I have had good experiences both times. I received a confirmation immediately, and tracking number the next business day. The shipments arrived on time via Fed Ex.
I had a problem with a wheel on my stroller and contacted Bare Babies customer support since Mutsy had not responded to me. Within a day they had put me in contact with Mutsy and arranged for a new stroller wheel to be shipped to me. I had read the old reviews on the site before ordering and was not expecting to receive such prompt and friendly service. I would recommend Bare Babies. |

Ordered an 'in stock' item on April 29th. Charged my credit card on April 29th. Received email that item was NOT 'in stock' on May 3rd, replied that I wanted to cancel it immediately. Received email confirmation of cancellation on May 3rd. After three phone calls talking with very nice customer service representative, Jennifer, finally received email confirmation that the refund was processed on May 23rd (20 days later). STILL, June 5th (another two weeks)... no refund. Will call credit card company to enter dispute tomorrow. They charge immediately without confirming item is in stock.. and then more than 4 weeks to get refund.. that still hasn't shown??? VERY BAD business practices.

I ordered a stroller on Monday morning and had it at my front door by Thursday. They provided a confirmation of my order by email and then another email with the tracking number on Tuesday. I didn't have to pay shipping or tax. The item was also on sale so I saved a lot of money instead of buying the exact same stroller at my nearby Babies R Us. I am very happy with my purchase and will be coming back.

I ordered an item from this website, but had to cancel on the same day since I got it from family as a gift. After several attempts to ask them for a refund, I gave up after more than 2 months. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Customer service was not good, not straight forward and not honest!!! I will never ever shop here again and of course I would not recommend this store to any one.

OMG...I can't believe I'm having all the same lously experiences with barebabies.com! My order was placed over 20 days ago and still no confirmation of my order. I've called once and emailed twice and got words that it would be shipped this and that date...but still no confirmation. Customer service was kind but useless. Would not order from this website again. I should've read reviews BEFORE I ordered from barebabies.com.

First, no order confirmation to my email. I had to phone to ask for that. It was sent days later.
Then no shipping information for two weeks. I phoned and was told containers had arrived to the warehouse, but the person who handled that was not in. Anyway, they would let me know by the end of the day. No promised notification. The next couple days and it's the same story. So it's a few weeks and I can get no shipping info. I decide to cancel the item. They agree to send confirmation of cancellation. This never comes. So I finally obtain this by literally waiting on the line until the email gets into my inbox. Then a phone call that the item has shipped. This is after I've cancelled it. If I don't want it, I will have to pay to have it shipped back. But then it never arrives. No tracking info for the week. All in all, it's been really drawn out and a waste of time. I thought I would give them business over Amazon, but I really regret it. |

Horrible experience. I placed my order, my c/c was charged the next day, and then 3 weeks went by with no order status. I had to call three times and there was never any new information. Finally I cancelled my order and here I am a week later still waiting for my card to be refunded. DO NOT shop here. Customer service was extremely nice but not helpful at all.

I ordered a rochelle high chair tray cover from this store, on line. My order was processed and confirmed, to be shipped in 3 days. In 3 days I received an email stating that the item could not be purchased without purchasing the high chair. The item was priced separately and was a separate item on their web store. My order had been confirmed and processed. I better not see any charges on my credit card that I foolishly trusted this company with.

I ordered a product from Bare Babies on 6/1. It's 17 days later and I have nothing. I've e-mailed once and called twice with no response. I can't even get a human when I call, just a voice mail. Now I need to contact my credit card company to make sure they can't charge my card. I'll take my business to a store that delivers the products their customers buy from them!
Update - Bare Babies called on 6/22 to say that the product had shipped and would arrive the next day, which it did. They said they'd been having problems with their e-mail system, but could offer no excuse for taking nearly a week to return my phone calls and nearly 3 weeks to ship the item I had ordered. I still will never shop there again, but thought I should add this information. |

Ordering online was a simple procedure but customer service is very poor. I was told I would receive my item in a week or so. I called after the time frame and they told me it would be another few weeks so I canceled the order with them and ordered my item from a different company. Received it FAST! About a month later I received the canceled item from BareBabies and called to tell them I already canceled it. I had to pay shipping to get the canceled item back to them...their Policy! I will never make a BareBabies purchase again.

I have shopped at Bare Babies.com since before my baby was born and have always had such a great experience, I wanted to take the time to write about it. Everything I have ordered from furniture to strollers and baby gear, etc has been easy to find on the site, has come immediately and in perfect condition. I truly appreciate the follow-up on all of my orders. Once, the finish I ordered on a piece of furniture was not available so the customer service staff offered an alternative, which worked out beautifully. I also love the fact that the site offers suggestions on new items or items that would work well with what I was purchasing.
I have nothing but great things to say about Bare Babies. I have referred the site to all of my mommy and daddy friends and I know they are all just as happy as I am. |

I recently purchased a Maclaren, Techno XT stroller from Bare Babies.com and the entire experience could not have gone smoother. Being a bit internet paranoid I was thrilled with the ease of shopping their site,the fast conformation of my order and the free shipping. Having read some of the negative reviews on the Techno I called Bare Babies and was assured this was an isolated problem the company had corrected. They told me Maclaren is a very reputable company that totally stands behind their products.The order arrived as promised after receiving a tracking number (which was reassuring in itself).
The stroller arrived it excellent condition and we love it. It handles very easily, is light weight, looks great and folds up very easily. I strongly recommend this site to anyone shopping for baby products. They are very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I know my wife and I will be visiting them again. I also noticed a link to another site operated by Bare Babies named Ciao Bella Baby which I plan on visiting before making my next purchase. With more experiences like this one I may just get over my internet paranoia. |

I was in a rush to find something for a baby shower, so I ordered the Sleep Sheep thinking it would be a good gift. I wasn't sure if it would arrive in time so I called and left a message on the customer service line. I got a call back pretty quickly with a general ETA for the item and a assurance I would receive a tracking number later that day. It helped to know it was being sent UPS since I was afraid it would be sent regular postal mail and I would have no way to find out whether the package actually made it, other than the obvious. My friends totally loved the gift so all went well. I can see myself shopping for other items at this store.

When we placed our order the high chair was listed as In-stock and should be delivered in 7-10 days. It turns out that the item was not in-stock, but that didn't stop them from billing us for it. When we e-mailed them to find out where it was they said they were checking with the manufacturer and would get back to us. Three days later we e-mailed them again, finally they told us the high chair was back ordered and that it was scheduled to ship the next week.
In my opinion their customer service is awful. I will not buy anything else from this store, and wouldn't recommend them to even my worst enemies. |

I had the worst shopping experience with Barebabies. They sent the wrong merchandise and wanted to charge me for returning it. They also sold me a stroller bag that didn´t fit my stroller. Delivery was slow, they never sent a confirmation e-mail, customer service is lousy. Believe me, this is the worst store ever, recommend it only to your enemies.

Stroller ordered, sent within reasonable time. Found defect in stroller after using it one time. BareBabies would not replace the stroller because it had been USED. How can one tell if there's a problem without using the item? Had to contact Combi myself, and after discussing the problem with them, they replaced the stroller and sent an extra seat cover/canopy cover/shoulder straps.
