I ordered a nice camera from Butterfly photo.com and never received the order. Two days after the order I received a sales call from some jerk who tried to sell me a camera bag and a camera jacket. He then lied to me saying the three day delivery advertised on the web site would not be honored unless I ordered something else. He said at best it would take a week for my order to arrive.
On the third day after my order, I received an E-mail from Butterfly photo.com listing my package tracking shipping number. When I went to the link site, I could see it was being shipped for the three day advertised offer. It, however, didn't arrive. I called Butterfly and they said it was being returned. They wouldn't explain why and wouldn't promise me a refund until it did arrive back to them.
It did but Butterfly held onto my money. It took another three weeks before they refunded part of my order amount.
I called Federal Express and asked them why they never delivered my package. They finally admitted they delivered it to the wrong address. That's after I asked them why there was no signed signature on file. They couldn't get around that question and kept me on hold for a while until they spoke to their 'Supervisor'. They are suppose to get a signature but when they realised they were about to deliver my camera to the wrong person, they didn't ask them to sign. Then they said they called Butterfly photo for an address correction.
Butterfly photo was given five days to call them back with the correct address. They didn't do this. I have asked Butterfly photo why they didn't call Federal Express back and to date they have not responded.
I will file a complaint with the State's Attorney's office and the FBI's internet fraud division. There are several other federal agencys that want to here of internet crimes. Do an internet search on internet fraud and you will get them all.
