I am extremely happy with my experience at Carsdirect.com for the following reasons:

1- I was able to "window shop" for months until the right price came along (important because I am at home with my infant).
2- Carsdirect had a much lower guaranteed price than anyone else (dealership, Edmunds' TMV) that I could plainly see on the website (by about $2K).
3- A carsdirect salesperson worked with me to find the exact car that I wanted (07 Honda Pilot LX).
4- a handful of emails and a couple of phone calls- all over the course of one day- yielded the exact car that I wanted.
5- the price never changed.
6- carsdirect found me the financing that I wanted at the rate I expected.
7- carsdirect took care of my trade-in (this required a handful of digital pictures of my old car). I got the price I wanted.
8- three days later, my car arrived at my front door. The shipping was free (though I did tip the driver, of course). The driver was able to walk me through all of the paperwork- which took about 45 minutes. Then he took my trade-in, loaded it onto his truck at left.
9- the Pilot is awesome. Carsdirect was fantastic. I will not be returning to a car dealership again.*

* as a woman, I have HATED my previous experiences at dealerships. Why do car salesMEN have to be so smarmy?
