CR had an amazing deal on a Le Creuset stock pot and I was totally praising my own genius for ordering my boyfriend such an awesome Christmas gift (we make a freakish amount of soup). The web site said I'd receive an e-mail when my order shipped and if it couldn't be shipped within 2 business days I'd receive an e-mail notification. SIX business days later when I didn't hear anything I dropped them a line. As it turns out, Le Creuset was "out of stock" on that particular item but it was available in some other colours. I'm not sure when they were planning to fill me in on this development. Frankly, I couldn't give a rat's behind about the colour so I said to go ahead with another colour. Now, if I had known this within the 2 business days, I could have said as much 4 days earlier and the shipment could have gotten to me in time. Oh, the saga continues...but I won't go into detail about trying to change the shipping address since the delay meant the package would be delivered while I was out of the country and would therefore sit on my porch for 3 weeks until my return. Oh yeah, and I just found the bloody pot for ten dollars cheaper, in the colour I wanted, on Amazon.com.
