Poor business standards and efficiency

On 12/2/07 I ordered a TomTomOne for pick up at the Superstition Springs Mall, over 15 miles from my home, since they indicated they were out of stock at Mesa store. On 12/3/07 I called to confirm the order but no one even answered the phone when I called, I was placed on hold a series of times for over 10 minutes. Finally someone answered the phone and I was routed to the person who could find the order. He indicated it was back-ordered and would have to cancel the order online, come into the store or call customer service. I said you mean to tell me no one would have called me or notified me that the product was not in stock? He said someone should have called you. I would have traveled 15 miles to find out the product was not in the store. I said I was not going to travel 15 miles to obtain a refund so I called customer service and was once again placed on hold for over 15 minutes. Finally a lady answered the phone, whom you could not understand from the Philippines. She said I would have to cancel the order online or go into the store. I said I was told you can cancel the order and that is what I expect you to do. She was finally able to cancel the order. Circuit City is not a user friendly store and would not ever plan to purchase another product from them. There are too many competitors in the marketplace who really want a customer's business.
