Trying to spend my last FSA dollars before the end of the year, I ordered four boxes of contacts on Dec 25. Coastal Contacts had the best price. During checkout I had the option to fax my script (or email it). They also had my optometrist's information. I faxed script the next day, 12/26.
I received an email on 12/27/08 that my order was on hold because they did not receive verification--no fax and my optometrist, for some reason, told them that my script expired even though I had JUST gotten it with a 12/22/08 contact lens checkup. They've been dealt with.
I emailed Coastal Contacts back about the office's mistake and that they should see the date on the script. I was then informed they did not receive my fax. OK.
I re-faxed 12/28/08 and waited. Contacted them again 12/29/08 and was told that wasn't received. I told them I would fax it again.
I re-faxed it 12/30/08 and immediately called. I verified the fax number, and asked the rep did their faxing work. I was told they've been receiving faxes all day and it may take a day to be updated. I told him about the other two faxes and he said they had neither one of them.
He said he'd have Verification take a look and call me back if there was a problem. So the morning of 12/31/08 I called to check and, really, to cancel if there was still nothing. I knew they wouldn't have it. That's how it had been going. Of course they had not one of my three faxes, so I canceled the order.
Placed the order with VisionDirect immediately afterwards. I faxed them the script within an hour and by the afternoon I had a tracking number on my contacts shipment.
