I ordered glasses and sunglasses from Coastal Contacts; they had the best price and exactly what I wanted; I didn't want to take the time to go to a brick and mortar store if I could just do it from my desk. The website is a little hinky - cheap-feeling, if you know what I mean - and this did concern me. Sure enough, it is not until AFTER you pay that you are informed how long shipping will take - in this case, 15 business days. That information is NOT repeated anywhere in the email invoice you are sent. Prior to paying, the customer is only able to see an estimate for shipping, which sure seemed like TEN business days for me, even for rimless glasses. So I called today - the 12th business day - to see where the glasses are. The rep was thoroughly unhelpful and just kept repeating "It can take 15 business days." Apparently they have "absolutely no idea", in her words, where my glasses are in the production phase and could not begin to tell me if they may ship today, tomorrow or next week. I should have listened to my gut that this is a high-volume discount business with minimal interest in customer service. If you don't mind waiting and have no need to talk to them, you likely will be okay, and they do offer good prices and products, but customer service and shipping practices are extremely lacking.
