DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! They also go by the name of Zearth.com. I was sold a faulty patio heater. They agreed to pay for a repair to the faulty part. I agreed to this. UPS picked up the faulty part from my house and sent it to their repair center. UPS picked this up several days later than promised - another ComfortChannel.com mix up. The repair center said in fact there was nothing wrong with the patio heater and blamed it on my husband and my inability to hook up a butane tank (???). Sorry but we have a gas BBQ and two butane tanks. Our BBQ works fine with both tanks (full tanks even!) and hooking up a tank is not rocket science as you all know. We had several of our friends try to get the heater to work also, with the instructions in hand! No luck. We argued back and forth with ComfortChannel.com. They wanted me to pay for shipping to and from the repair center, etc. I couldn't believe it!!! Back and forth a bunch of times about this and that. I have nothing to gain by trying to return a perfectly good heater! I wanted this heater to work!!!$324 in the scheme of things is nothing to me, but I like to be treated fairly.
To make a long story short, I bought this patio heater for my vacation home where I only spend several months out of the year. After many headaches, they finally agreed to pickup the rest of the patio heater (the other part was still at the repair center) on the day before I had to leavae this house for several months. They knew throughout this entire hassle exactly when I was leaving, and that I was not returning until December. At this point, I did not trust the company and preferred a refund rather than try again with this patio heater (which by the way arrived massively scratched up. I was told very specifically that UPS would pick up the heater on August 20. UPS didn't come and I had to leave that evening. I thought it was a small mix up so I left the heater on my patio - after all this happened with UPS the first time. I called and called. I finally emailed a general customer service address and was told that the ComfortChannel rep I was working with decided to quit. Why no one at the company was checking his messages, I have no idea!!! I then spoke with the director of Customer Relations who promised to handle the situation for me. She said of course they will pick up the heater as soon as possible. I thought she was going to be helpful but now has also stopped returning my phone calls and emails. Anyway, it's been 3 weeks and the patio heater is still sitting on my doorstep because they have not picked it up!!! A lot of attention has been drawn to my vacant house because there is a GIANT box sitting on the porch. ComfortChannel.com will not return my emails or phone calls. They promised several times (before I left) to pick up the heater - it's very large and heavy and will not fit into my city supplied trash can. They have issued a refund but I fully believe that they do not intend to pick up the heater as promised. It's huge and very heavy. I'm so mad. I've called them many times from overseas to try to resolve this and sent numerous emails. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! BEWARE OF THE AGGRAVATION!!!!
