My highest recommendation to the folks at CompuBiz. I purchased a printer from them a few weeks ago, with it being received as scheduled. It worked fine until yesterday, at which time a serious hardware problem developed. My 30-day CompuBiz warranty had just expired, so I was referred to HP. HP then walked me through a myriad of diagnostic procedures, eventually confirming that my machine was in fact dead. For $600 plus shipping, they would be glad to sell me a new one.
Stan at CompuBiz spent the greater part of the following hour on a conference call with HP and me. HP countered with an offer where I'd receive a replacement printer if I paid $54 for the shipping. CompuBiz helped me insist upon the following deal: HP will send me a functional printer; they can have the defective one back. CompuBiz provided excellent service to what will definitely be a repeat customer. |

My experience overall was very good. The product was clearly listed on their website. There was just enough information to make an informed decision. The best part was the price. For the HP printer that I ordered their price was the best that I could find on the net, about $30 cheaper than the big boys. Free shipping would of been nice but I guess that you cannot have both.
The ordering process was simple with no issues. They do not have chat ability for customer service, which I recommend. The product arrived exactly as I ordered with no issues to report. |

Lied to Me and False Info on Website

I ordered a printer on Saturday for $438 plus $50 s/h. Order was taken and card passed verification.
Was called Monday and they left a message to call. I tried ten minutes later and and could not reach the person. Finally connected on Wed morning. I noticed my order was placed on a "hold, please call status" and the price on the website was changed to $499. Customer service said they were no-longer in stock. I asked why it was still on the website and they said they did not have time to change it from the weekend. I then asked why they found time to raise the price -- long pause, followed by I don't know. I was then given the option to purchase a different printer with less features or cancel the order. Obviously did not want to do business with company that lies to it's customers. Do not recommend this company. |

I am very satisfied with the whole process of ordering to receiving my printer. i have to give props as well with their security measures regarding fraudulent card charges, it makes customers feel more at ease when purchasing items over the Internet. Compubiz is a responsible merchant, its
not easy to prevent fraud charges but they make an effort to minimize the possibility and to protect their customers. |

2/12/2006 - placed web order for 2 monitors.
2/13/2006 - received email confirmation of order. 2/14/2006 - received telephone call that they didn't handle this item any longer, but had a similar item for $120.00 more (67% increase). We told the representative to cancel the order and are back on the web to shop again. Now, this simply could have been a case of "we shipped the last one out Saturday night, can't get any more, and on Sunday nobody was working to update the web site's database", but it sure rubs the wrong way. We'd try them again if we find a deal, but if their deals aren't deals, Newegg and TigerDirect will have our business instead. |

I have called CompuBiz to check if they have a printer that was already discontinued. Unfortunately, they do not have it but a very helpful sales rep had recommended another model that had replaced the one I originally wanted. I took it and received it already. I am very happy with it. Thank you!
