when I received the first e-mail from eastbay customer service, I wasn't noticed that I must response it verifying my order. And I only had an order number, but not a customer number. Although in the next e-mails I was inquired in excellent conditions by the customer service.

I ordered shoes for my daughter who is at North Central University in Minneapolis - I'm in Ohio. They called her and told her they needed to talk to me before they could ship the shoes. I called and they said they wanted to make sure it was okay with me that they were shipping to Minneapolis. For all they know I could've been her again? This delayed her receiving her shoes and seemed like a worthless call for me. If you give those numbers on the back of the card wouldn't that signify the person is allowed to use that Visa? It was me who called but if I had a stinker kid they would've just called back and said they were me? The young woman I talked to confirmed the order after I called but I don't see a phone call as having any validity. I believe this process needs to be reviewed.
I appreciate that you allow your customers to respond. Thank you for asking! Terri

Everything went fine except I was surprisedat the color of the shoes. They were supposed to be red and black and that's what the picture looked like but when we got them, it looks more orange. I guess it is infra-red. I think that should have been stated in the description.

Received wrong shoes, wrong size. Then, had to call to straighten out. The merchant sent us the correct shoes quickly (did this well), but also requested we send the other shoes back --- which is a pain. They should have just asked us to throw them out. We shouldn't have to bother returning them without compensation. Nothing was offered (not even a 20% coupon on our next purchase). I was disappointed with Eastbay during these events. The only reason I would shop with them again is the convenience they provide in finding the correct color shoes (that my boys want). I will work hard now to find their shoes at Dick's in Rockford (and convince them that the color doesn't matter).

Very good selection and ease of shopping. Eastbay offers the hard to find colorways in apparel and footwear that are not found in most every retail chain. Size selection is also a major plus. My son wears a size sixteen (enough said). The only negative...repeated delays in processing of orders.

Merchant required a verifacation call to confirm order after order was placed. This was a difficult situation since I am deployed in Iraq and commercial telephone circuits are non-existant in most locations. However I was able to use a very expensive satellite phone at a cost of $10 per minute to call the company. This increased my cost by $30 dollars for the 3 minute call.

After ordering from a catalog, a coupon code was not processed that I had included in the ordering process. Final purchase prices were not given once order was submitted, it took about 24 hours to get my final cost with shipping. At that time I had to contact customer service about the coupon code that wasn't deducted. In the end everything was fixed, but the process was not very smooth. The ordering process could be better/smoother. I would deal with the inadequacies of the ordering process because the prices are great, and customer service help was fast to fix my issue.
