My initial ordering experience with Framesdirect.com was very nice, I was contacted by a customer service rep a day after I placed my order online. Although when they mentioned that there would be an extra charge to make my rimless lenses I thought it was odd because there was no extra charge listed online. However I went ahead and placed my order anyway. At this point everything was o.k. with me even though I was getting charged a little extra than expected.
My order was shipped out and received in a timely manner, however when I realized that the frames were too small for my face. I sent them back the next day via priority mail to exchange them for a new pair. My return was not processed until about five days after it was received. It is over 30 days since my original order date and my exchange pair of glasses has still not been sent out to me. The money that I saved by ordering online was off set by the extra charge I had to pay for my lens exchange, and I still do not have my glasses. If I had just gone to my eye doctor and ordered my glasses in the first place I would have had the eye glasses that I wanted by now and would have spent about the same amount of money.
