I was surprised to some negative reviews and decided to share my experience, which I have to say, was one of the best on-line and phone purchases I have ever made.

The search: I was looking for something that was easier, more durable, more comfortable, and easier to get in and out of than the aerobed. I was seriously considering a raised queen size aerobed when a final search lead me to the Frontgate EZ. I knew Frontgate from an unusual and great couple I know who were Halloween fanatics. The bigger, the better, for their Halloween party every year and they had always gotten their most outrageous (not to mention most expensive) decorations from Frontgate. I must say, thought the prices they paid were nuts for decorations, but they were always of great quality and have lasted years and years.

The Inquiry: So there I was on the net, watching an all too good to be true video of the three minute set-up of the EZ bed, when several questions occurred to me. First, my parents were coming in 5 days and would I get in time? Second, I always struggled with putting a sheet on the aerobeds, and they never stayed put... had the EZ bed solved this problem with the optional sheet set, or was there some trick I needed to know. As a result, I called customer service. They were extremely helpful and knowledgable of the product. Turned out the sheet set did have "trick" of corner elastic straps to keep the fitted sheet in place. Also, the sheet was of a higher than standard sheet threadcount. The bed was in stock and the price was a little more expensive than the aerobed, but not unreasonably so (20-30 on a >$225 price tag either way).

The Order: I placed the order over the phone with the customer service rep who had been so helpful, and I was told not two have it shipped specially for two-day (in time for my parents arrival), to have it shipped normally since from the warehouse would only take two days. It worked! It two days there was our new airbed. I was eager to see how it compared to the dreamlike video I watched.

The Product: Excellent quality, pretty much exactly as it was advertised and set up as easily as the video.... just take your time with the zipper when you're all done. I have to add, it is also a very comfortable mattress, both my husband and I who have back problems slept on it for the week my parents where visiting and we had a better night sleep than our expensive specialty mattress! I must say we have had it for 2 years and have been extremely satisfied with our purchase. Since then we have purchased some other items and have been very happy with them (again, make sure you shop around, and always beware when buying furniture - pictures are not always what the final product is like in person)

Overall: I was very pleased with my entire Frontgate shopping experience. Yes, I agree with the other reviewers, they can be pricey and you need to shop around, including their subsidiary Grandin Road, which sometimes carry the same prodicts for a little less, but the quality of their products is excellent.
