Worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Placed an order on 4-2-09. Never received order, yet credit card was charged the day of the order. The contact phone numbers 1-866-343-0020 and 1-347-274-0620 listed on the site are not in service. You need to use 1-718-506-9359. When you do reach them by phone you get a recorded message telling you to check the status of your order online. Customer Service is not open during the times of operation they state. Every phone option chosen gives the same recorded message, except if you choose SALES you may get a live person. The online tracking of an order consists of stating that you placed an order on a specific date and that you paid. Nothing ever changes to let you know the progress of your order. Emails (there are many different email addresses) sent to them usually went unanswered, except for one (which came from a different email address than any I had sent messages to). In the one answer I received on 4-22-09 they told me my order would be shipped in 48 hours and it would take a week to receive it. Twelve days later I still had not received the order. The "Online Chat" option on their website goes unanswered. The Buysafe contract they give when you order only lasts for 30 days, so beware if they string you on past your Buysafe contract date.
When I finally got someone on the phone by choosing the SALES option. They told me they would need to call the Manufacturer regarding my order. After being put on hold they told me they would need to get back to me since they "couldn't reach them at the moment". They never got back to me! Several days later I called again and, after waiting on hold for a LONG time, was told they would need to call the Manufacturer and get back to me. I pressed the issue and was then told it was the Warehouse, not the manufacturer, that needed to be called but they "couldn't reach them at the moment". I asked for the name of the warehouse and the phone number so I could call to check the order myself. I was told the name of the warehouse but they "weren't allowed" to give me the phone number. (I later checked the warehouse online and the phone number is readily available.) I insisted they give me the phone number since they (Home Annex) were not getting back to me and could never tell me the status of my order. They then gave me to a manager who said it was the Manufacturer, not the warehouse which was the problem. I told him I was not happy with the customer service and he asked if I would like to cancel my order. "Yes, will there be any other hidden fees for canceling"? "No, there will not be a restocking fee since I don't have the product". It is now 3 weeks since canceling the order and I still have not been reimbursed the amount charged to my credit card. I have sent many emails asking when my account will be credited and received no response. I've contacted PayPal and my credit card company to enter a dispute claim.
Please read all the cancellation information before ordering anything from HomeAnnex. They have a LONG list of items that cannot be returned!
I wish I would have read all the NEGATIVE reviews instead of just believing the HomeAnnex website before I purchased from them!!!
