I have received the antenna in good condition, the door handle and surround covers are not due to be shipped untill 11/06, and they say that the tailgate lock cover is not available in stainless steel althrough the website indicates that it is. I have always had good experience with JC Whitney, returns with no questions asked and good service. I like doing business with them.

Ordered a pair of new headlights for my Jeep, and had them sent overnight. JC Whitney shipped them to the wrong address and wanted mt to resolve it, and were rude about it. They did refund the shipping cost, but it cost me more in time and separate shipping costs to get the lights. The website claims 100% satisfaction, but they claim that only applies after the items arrive and you try them, not to the actual service they provide. They are horrible, and I will shop with Quadratec in the future.

Only one word can describe my experience with these people...horrible! I ordered a part for my 2001 Jeep Wrangler November 16th, and when I received the confirmation email it showed it would not ship until the 23rd. OK, no problem, or so I thought. Here it is the 30th and I have called three times today (they hung up on me once because I didn't get the order number for them fast enough). One time they told me that the item had not shipped and didn't know when it would ship, and ten minutes later when I called back to cancel the order, the lady told me I couldn't cancel because it had shipped already. They sure enough did not mind charging my credit card when I ordered two weeks ago.

I was scammed by WLI Shopperdiscount on the JC Whitney website. I Called JC Whitney, WLI, and my credit card company to report this incident. Searching online I noticed others have had the same issue. Shame on JC Whitney for defending this scam. I will no longer buy from JC Whitney. Watch out for WLI charges to you Credit card account if you order form JC Whitney.

the service here is so terrible. They said that they have the product on their warehouse but they don't mail it to you. I waited for one week but no parts was shifted cal them and said that there was an issue with the parts that I am ordering. waited another week still no parts came. beware of this company, they don't have most of what they are selling.

can't believe i even paid for this service! just needed grilles for my dodge car when they delivered me with a wrong part. called up their customer service, which was utterly unknowing of the things they were selling. i meant grilles for the car and the customer service rep told me they weren't selling those. turns out she was thinking "grills" for a barbeque stand! i will never shop for this shop again.

Order was on backorder and never notified of it untill I called 3 weeks later. waited 2 more weeks had to call again. after they gave me the runaround for the 2nd time, I canceled my order. nows it's been 2 more weeks and money has not been credited back on my credit card, and I'm still getting the run around with them. Overall spend the money to get the part at a local store and save yourself the hassel.

And I thought JC Whitney is an Auto Parts Giant. I guess they're just merely ASSUMPTIONS. I ordered an exhaust tip for my Dodge Dakota a couple of months ago. The product arrived late and I was charged more than what is stated in their site. it is so unfair. I called them up and they said that they can't give me a refund because it has something to do with the shipping, blah, blah, blah... From then on, I never shopped there again.

I bought an exhaust gasket in this site for my Volkswagen and I was very disappointed. The price says its only $211 but when I got my order, I was charged $300. Not only that, the delivery was also late. I asked them why did this happen. They just explained to me that the price became like that due to shipping and other charges. I mean, why didn't they tell it right away before I placed my order? i was really annoyed. I'm never going to shop here again.

It's my first time to ask JC Whitney to gave me a car part. I purchase a window motor, the customer service and deliveries were all great. Got my part on time and they give complete informations. But the problem was when I'm trying the part with my car, yes they gave me the right item but it's broken. I called the representatives but then they hang on me after transferring my calls to other agents. I slammed the phone and I'm very angry that time. I haven't got the replacement nor the refund because I know that it was so hard to follow everything up. I'm fine as of now but still won't recommend them as one of your supplier. Try to be nicer and satisfy your customers next time.

I'm not very familiar with cars so I need to contact their customer service to help me find what would be the appropriate car part to purchase. When I tried to call them, the agent was not helpful at all! I think he is not sure of the information that he is giving me and I had a hard time understanding him. After hours of conversation, finally I've decided on what specific product to purchase and repeated it to him to verify if he got the correct parts that I need. Waited a couple of days, the product arrived on time but then, they delivered the wrong part!!! I got really frustrated about this incident, and I will never purchase on this store again. |

i have purchased a heat/sound insulation which they promised to arrive within 24 hrs. but i guess, jcwhitney had a mantra that "promises are made to be broken". such a shame that i bought something from them, it only arrived a week after, after much follow-up and calls to their customer service representative.
what really irks me is their after-sales marketing, they still call me up for product offers, been spamming and flooding my inbox for product coupons. its so annoying to have all of these, and even if i unsubscribe to their emails, they would still send me more and the calls have been continuously bugging me still even after i asked them to delete me from their contact list. |

I needed new rear springs for my '94 Grand voyager. After endless phone calls all over the country, websites ad nauseum, and being ripped of by Moparpart.com, I ended up at J.C. Whitney. They actually knew what they were talking about. Got the right springs (at last), a better price than anywhere else (of course, those prices were for the wrong bloomin' springs), cheap shipping, and very helpful salesfolks. These are OEM springs, which included the bushings (saved me even more $), not mentioned by the sales person, who, by the way, took the trouble to actually look at the springs & measure them to insure they were correct. I simply couldn't have asked for more.

I ordered a fender from there catalog. The fender came damaged I called them they said they'll have it picked up the next day. One week later its still sitting on my front porch. so I called them again they said they would have it picked up that afternoon. Two days later its still sitting there so I called again they finally picked it up. About 2 weeks later I received a fender not the right side but a left side, not a fender for a 87 chevy but a fender for a 73-79 ford ,and they charge me $50.00 shipping that I did not authorized on my debit card. I called them again they refunded my $50 and had the fender picked up. Two weeks later I received my next fender this time right for the truck but, damaged, the wrong side and another unauthorized $50.00 charge to my card .They picked up this fender and I still have not received my refund for the fender(163.98) or the fraudulent 50.00 charge this is 1 week ago from today.

I ordered a car seat heating pad. Needed it soon for a gift, so paid for a second-day delivery. Three days later - no product, no shipping info from the store - called the customer service just to learn that the item is not expected to hit the warehouse until month later. They did not even apologized - the customer service man simply told me "it was not really his department". They completely let me down, leaving me without a gift I promised to deliver, not even bothering to inform me that the item was out-of-stock for another month. Disgusting!

Never had problems with my orders but don't expect to get them quickly. They have some cheap off-brand stuff for the weekend mechanic. If you are looking for the best quality keep looking though. Never had anything that was complete junk but you get what you pay for.

JC Whitney on line needs better customer support. Misrepresents in-stock status.
I placed an order and received an email confirming that the product was in stock and would be shipped on a certain date. After waiting for 10 days (allowing for slow ground delivery) I finally called customer service. They said that the order had been canceled because it was no longer in stock. They should have sent me an email as soon as this information was available. Their failure has cost me a delay of one month for an important repair. One final note... their customer service rep was clueless. She was able to find my order but could not tell me what the part was even though she had a part number because "the systems don't work together." Oh, I finally got the part for the same price at www.discountautoparts.com Their service was excellent. |

I waited nearly two weeks to receive my order, which is ridiculous. When I finally did receive it, it was poorly packaged with the box only folded over with tape going across, but not sealing up the middle which was exposed. I could easily fit my hand in and retrieve the items, which were not packaged in any packing foam etc, but were merely rolling and falling loose around inside. I actually found bolts out of individual package rollling all about. Not impressed at all!! Will never ever do business with them again. I now go to Cruiser Customizing and may pay a bit more, but (and this is a big but), I get my order in 3 to 4 days and it is securely packaged. Not too mention, they're web site is far superior and only need to spend $100.00 to get free shipping verses $125.00 and JC Whitney.

Overall I rate this store poor due to bad email marketing practices. In all other respects it is good. Being sent 20k plus emails every week after unchecking do not email me after every order I made( last order was about 2 years ago in April) and then to begin receiving their newsletters after that big of an interval. Due to this UCE of theirs I didn't ask for, I am not going to buy from them in the foreseeable future. I am very disappointed in their actions regarding this matter. This is my opinion.
