I have purchased many items from Jewelry Television and I have sent back more items than I have purchased at this point in time. Delivery is relatively quick, but shipping costs are exorbitant. The mixed faceted gemstone parcels are sent in plastic bags which results in many chipped, abraded and broken stones. The claims made by the hosts are exaggerated in terms of the alleged quality of the items and estimated replacement value. The diamonds items I have purchased have been of very poor quality. In the past when ordering jewelry, I have ordered two of the same item, just so that I can attempt to get decent quality. When I have ordered gemstones that are touted as "the best of the best" I often order 4 or 5 just to get two clean stones. Refunds are processed in a timely manner, but it really doesn't compensate for the hundreds of dollars spent in getting items shipped to you and returning the poor quality ones by insured mail. Prices on many gemstones are actually higher than what can be found on Ebay. The call center staff is helpful, but they often don't have pertinent information about a product (the size of a mounted stone, gram weight of the gold, the quality or origin of high-priced single gemstones, etc.) Items rarely look like the items that were presented on TV. I will not be purchasing items from ACNTV in the future.
