Now that some of our local KB Toy stores have gone out of business in the malls we are even more limited to shopping online. Do not get your heart set on finding something in the brick and mortar store that you found online. One day I drove to KB Toys to purchase a toy that I had seen online. I looked up and down the aisles for awhile because assuming they carried the product since I saw it online. I finally asked an employee and they told me that the store and the online website do not always carry the same things. The website does have a bigger inventory than the store does. They sell toys, video games, baby related items, and collectibles.

I have personally found their prices are generally lower than competitors. They do not price match however if a brick and mortar store runs a sale you can get a price match to their advertising within 30 days.

I have found so many deals on this website. We have three birthdays in the fall followed closely by Christmas so I pretty much do my shopping all at once for both occasions. I have found so many deals just before Thanksgiving. KBtoys.com is one of my favorite spots for toys because they usually have what I want for the least amount.

I really like the search features that they have. I usually do not have any problem finding my own kids toys but when searching for gifts it becomes a little more challenging. I like to use the girl / boy filter and also the age filter.

If you are only looking for a deal you will find a tab on the front page for the clearance center. The page displays an icon size photo of the item, the price, and if it is in or out of stock. If you open the link you will get the complete description and all details about the item. Unlike other online stores that I shop at this one does not tell you how much you are saving so sometimes it is hard to know if you are getting a deal or not.

One of the nice features is the Wish List. We used this feature this past year with my son who was turning 11 years old. He is pretty much out grown toys and not familiar with toys for the older kids. I let him go online and look through the toys and put the ones he was interested in on the wish list. I was also able to send his wish list to relatives in other states so no one bought him the same items.

Shipping is based on weight and a surcharge is added to oversized items. Most items are shipped through USPS and a tracking number is provided. Orders can not be picked up at the local store. Sometimes KB Toys has shipping specials and the details are listed on their front page. Shipping discounts are usually during the holidays.

I had hoped that their return policy would allow returns to the brick and mortar store but it does not. Return can be made within 30 days but you will be required to pay for returned shipping unless the error was caused by KB Toys. The directions for returns can be found on the back of the invoice. It could take 7-10 days after they receive the item for them to credit your return.

Overall
I have ordered from the KB Toys many times especially at the holidays. I think their website is easy to navigate and I can find toys on their site that I can not find elsewhere. I was pleased that even last minute orders were processed and delivered before the big day and I had even ordered oversize items. My credit card has always been billed correctly. I have not received any damaged items so have not had the need to do a return.

Their return policy keeps me from buying from their website at times for items that may need to be exchanged such as a present for someone else's birthday party.

At one time this was my favorite source for buying toys for the kids but now that my kids are in a higher age group it becomes more challenging to find toys for all the kids on this one site.
