Had a small problem with one of the lamps; the harp was too tall and not as pictured on the site. I called customer service, and they sent me a new harp. It was a little slow in coming, but it arrived and there was no charge. Both lamps are perfect and the price was reasonable.

Our experience with Lamps Plus was exceptional. Not only were we pleased with the wide selection, we were most impressed by the prices. Our ceiling fan arrived to the day that it was expected. Placed 2 orders w/Lamps Plus; the first order came in excellent condition.....when the 2nd order arrived, the 2 smaller glass shades had small chips on the edges and the socket in the main lamp was completely shattered. This needed to be returned; however, everything else from there on in went smoothly and we were pleased w/the second order. thank you.

The Lamps Plus selection is terrific! Certainly this is one of the best things about Lamp Plus. I did look at lighting stores in my area (Greenville, South Carolina) and never did see anything even close to what I was desiring. I debated between four different floor reading lamps that I liked before deciding on two. I will admit I decided to choose one moderately and one inexpensively priced item as opposed to more expensive items because I did not feel I knew the product well enough based on the description. I think I can honestly say all lamp descriptions are somewhat inadequate. One reason I enjoy shopping at Amazon is the lengthy descriptions and customer reviews. I have never been even slightly disappointed with any Amazon purchase. The descriptions reviews make me prefer Amazon to the physical item in the store since the only info would be just the packaging. I always feel comfortable with my purchases. I like the Lamp Plus website and the ability to filter by any category. Although one of my 'Floor Reading lamps' was not categorized as either a 'Floor lamp' or a 'Reading lamp'. I just happened to stumble upon it. One frustrating thing I noticed is on pictures where the top of the lamp uses the top corner of the image, the lamp head is not viewable when using the zoom tool as the zoom control covers this part of the image. Lamps Plus needs to either change the zoom control or map out the zoom tool area and do not allow any image to use this portion of the picture. I love the ability to save favorite items and be able to send it to others. Very nice feature! Whoever came up with that idea deserves a paid day off or something. I did not order several additional items because the picture was not adequate and/or the description lacked needed information. I was, and still am, interested in recessed lighting and ceiling fans. The recessed lighting confused me as the housing for low voltage lighting costs 2-3 times more than the light itself. I did not understand that low voltage housing also contains an electrical component (ballast?) until a coworker explained it to me. Until I knew this, I just thought you had high prices. As for ceiling fans, I did not have enough information on features such as wall switch compatibility, remote control and optional light kits. I do not want to operate the fan using chains drooping down from the unit as these will be for bedrooms and standing on/over the bed to control the fan is unappealing. I also do not want lights but most descriptions to not indicate if the light kit is optional or not. The ones that do indicate this do not have a picture of the fan without the light kit. Some pictures are a bit blurry and details of the fan are not clearly visible. I also did not order ceiling fans because the pricing is all over the place. I do not see what makes one fan $100-$200 different than another. The descriptions and inadequate pictures do not justify this apparent 'dartboard' pricing. The actual shipment was a moderate mess. The lamps arrived in good condition but the packaging on one of the lamps was sloppily taped with pieces of styrofoam pieced together from where it had previously been broken. This impression could make me hesitate at placing another order from Lamps Plus worrying about the need of a possible return. I like most consumers just hate returning something. In reality, I would probably order from Lamps Plus again though. Shopping.com: Your 'take the survey' link does not work from the mesg you sent me. I had to look through the mesg source HTML to obtain the correct URL. You may need to check your email generation software. Thank you for providing a space for comments. The on-line picture of the lamp shade appeared more dome shaped than what I received which was somewhat flattened. It's acceptable though.

I would have liked more information included in the description of the product. I used the on-line service to obtain the additional information, which was provided promptly, accurately, and courteously. When placing the on-line order, I was presented with options on buying light bulbs, which also provided insufficient information; I guessed correctly and got what I wanted.

overall pretty decent experience. fairly disgruntled over the length of time to receive what i ordered. i still havent received it though i did receive an email estimating when it will be shipped. the email estimated my item would be shipped a full 2 months after i ordered it. if i wasnt so stuck on what i ordered i would have cancelled and gone elsewhere. would be willing to try and shop again as the delay may be directly associated with the product i ordered.

One of the lamps I ordered arrived with a broken glass cover. After I contacted Castomer Service. They sent me out a new glass piece immediately. I didn't have to hassle with returning the whole lamp. I was very pleased with service. CSR was also very friendly and helpful.

The shipping information is misleading. It makes it seem as if you would receive the product in 3 days when in actuality it takes 3 days for it to ship from their warehouses. Then it takes another 5 - 7 business days to actually receive it.

It was good and I got what I expected to get, one item had a week back order, but I it was not excessive. The first item had a tracking number to follow, which I did. The second notice of shipment said the tracking number wasn't available yet but the item did arrive with no problem.
