I ended up buying ATOMA's equivalent of Circa from www.Manufactum.com in Germany because Levenger was charging $135 freight for $180 worth of overpriced paper. USPS Priority Mail would have been about $30. The Atoma freight was $15 with 10 days delivery. And it is A4. Aluminium rings. Very nice.
I don't mind buying overpriced stuff that I want, but I hate buying overpriced stuff that I don't want, which in this case is the freight. Are FedEx boxes fur-lined?
We tried to buy from Levenger about a year ago, and their IT system kept changing our Australian address to somewhere in the US. After 3 weeks, we asked them what had happened and they said it had been returned to them. They didn't bother to tell us. They gave us a refund because it was just too hard.
They seem to have fixed the IT problem, so I decided to try again. (My Mrs was so annoyed at them that she stopped talking to me until it went bad, then she said "I told you so!") but now the strategy is to charge organ-donor freight rates for stationery. So forget it - if your are outside the US, they don't want to sell to you.
