Avoid these guys like the plague.
I bought a lamp as a gift for my mother.
Their website said it would ship in 2-3 days.
It should have been delivered by Friday or Monday.
The following Wed, 9 days after placing the order, I called to find out if it had been delivered.
They sent me an email and said that it had not even shipped yet!
Furthermore, they said the item would not be shipped for 5 weeks!
They said that particular finish was on backorder.
Why didn't they tell me this immediately!
So I called the manufacturer to find out what finishes they had the lamp in so that it could be shipped immediately.
The manufacturer told me.
So I called Lighting Universe and asked them to change my order to a finish that was in stock so that it could be shipped out immediately.
The next day, Friday, I did not hear anything.
No phone call.
Not even an email.
On Monday, I called and sent an email in the morning to verify that the order was shipped on Friday.
At the end of the day, they sent me an email and said they would check with the manufacturer if they had that finish in stock!
I had already called and verified this with the manufacturer 5 days earlier!
I sent an email telling them this... again, but they did not send a response!
Since this is a gift for my mother, I was so upset that I was waking up throughout the night wanting to scream!
Today, 16 days after placing the order, I cancelled my order and am ordering from another company.
This is the worst buying experience I've had in years.
My advice is to avoid these guys like the plague.
