Linens-n-Things' customer service is terrible.

LInens-n-Things' customer service is terrible. They are insisting on overcharging me for the sales tax and refuse to do anything about it.
The company automatically charges their customers the maximum sales tax based on the state where the customer is located. THIS IS WRONG. The sales tax should be based on the county where the customer is located. In my case, the amount they want to overcharge me is 2 percent of my bill. I don't know about you, but I don't appreciate being overcharged for taxes I don't owe. In addition, I cannot be certain that this additional amount is being remitted to the government. For all I know, the company is pocketing an additional 2 percent profit on the sale. |

Linens N Things exceeds my expectations each time I order

The Linens N Things store is fantastic. They now have a new option to pick up my order in a store. I ordered online and a friendly sales associate had the item waiting for me in the back room. It was the most convenient new service that I have encountered on the internet. They seem to be on top of their game. They even let me use a coupon that I received in the store which saved me almost $75. I ordered something else and had it shipped to California and was shocked that it was received in 8 days.

I buy items from on-line all the time, and mistakes are bound to happen. It just the nature of the beast.
However, when they do, you expect the customer service department to work with you and remedy the situation to your satisfaction. After all, thats what your paying for right? Everyone has heard the ole saying, "the customer is always right!" Well, the Linens and Things motto is, "we don't give a d** about you, we just want your money!" |

I ordered the Bissell SpotLifter PowerBrush for my sister who lives 3 states away for her birthday on LNT.com along with a bottle of spot remover. It said the item was instock and would ship in 1 to 2 business days. Four days later I checked the order status and it still had not shipped. I tried calling but was put on hold for 15 minutes before finally giving up. The next day I got an email confirmation that the order had been shipped. Yay! Then I see that they cancelled the Powerbrush and are only sending the spot remover. How lame is that!?! They didn't notify me that my order was cancelled until after they'd shipped out the stain remover so I couldn't cancel it. So now my sister will get a lousy bottle of spot remover for her birthday that cost $4.99 and she'll have to wait to get her Powerbrush for another week or so. I will not use LNT.com again and I strongly urge you not to trust their website either.

Same as everyone...ordered something off their website, received half of the order for the same price as the full order. Was told it was a mistake on the website...and basically we will get back to you with a resolution. Two weeks later and many phone calls, no resolution...actually they offered to pay for half the shipping. Granted the mistake was a big one on the website and a great deal for me....But that is their mistake and problem, not mine. Still NOT resolved!! They are a very questionable company.

This is the first time ordering on-line from Linens-N-Things. The order was promptly shipped and I was able to use a coupon I had. The whole experience was easy and my product arrived in just a few days. I would say this was a very positive experience.

Customer service is a nightmare on large tickets orders. They canceled the order after not being able to verify my credit card information -- they called me at work during the night. Then, would not credit the coupon I had used.

On 12/4/03, I placed an order for several Christmas gifts which I never received and I have been repeatedly denied a refund. Events were as follows: 12/4 Paid for my $150 online order of 9 items. 12/9 They canceled two of the items I ordered.

I ordered a larger version of this rug. Linen n Things shipped it fedex, no signature required. This was not mentioned in shipping descriptions or I would have used a different shipping address. The rug did not arrive on the estimated delivery date and was left outside during holiday season. Fedex delivered the next day, but didn't update their delivery system(that is change the delivery date nor state item was delivered @ 9:35 a.m.) until after 6 p.m. that day. That's rather pathetic.
It was not there when I got home from work (@ 5:30) and I'm having a really hard time getting another sent (backorders and their system cancels the new order when the backorder date is pushed back). Needless to say I'm very unhappy with LnT's shipping policy and customer service. You also have to wait 14 days for missing delivery refunds. Merry Christmas to me! I really like how this rug but think I'll look for another vendor or a totally different one. |

Worst service ever--two years in a row they have screwed up my gift and have no apologies or solutions. They never have what they say they do in stock and then they don't tell you till it is too late. I would not order anything from them for any reason. When called to resolve the situation the representatives are confrontational and not helpful. I strongly reccomend that you shop somewhere else!
