Terrible customer service, no communication.

Terrible.
No proactive communication, only responses to my emails. over 10 days to get a shipping notice. Emailed to cancel my order according to their terms and conditions, and they argued with me and are trying to charge me 10% restocking fee. Hands down one of the worst experiences I have had online. This is not a large company it is only a drop shipper and the same person answers the phone each time. Please stay away, there are better deals and MUCH better service out there. |

There website information is misleading. It says they offer white glove delivery on most items. This makes it sound as if it's included. However, it is not. It must be requested. I expected the table to be assembled by the delivery people. There was no way I could have done it myself. When I called, the representative said that being "offered" didn't mean included. A clarification that whote glove delivery may be requested for an additonal charge would have been helpful. I also wasn't happy to see the table at a lower price after I ordered mine.

Don't buy furniture from them, they will bait and switch with what they have in stock. The sectional sofa we received did not look anything like the one on their website. Don't buy from them, they will not help you with your problem, just will keep your money or charge you a lot of money to return it. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! You will lose your money, avoid this website, there are much better companies to do business with, customer service is bad, I think this company is owned and managed by only one person. DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE!!!!!!!! I would not purchase anything from this company again, they are scammers, do not trust them, total ripoff.

Disappointed! Sectional came almost 3 weeks late, returned as dimensions were much larger than listed. I even called inquiring with a Customer service(design consultant) beforehand about concerns. They gave us misinformation. Customer service denies giving misinformation. They continue to charge us 1,000 for shipping and restocking refunding less than $500. No one higher up in the company even returns phone calls. I can't say enough how disappointed with the experience we are. Overall, the product looked nice, just way too big.

I ordered last Thursday this is Tuesday. I never heard anything back, so I called on Monday and they said it takes 3 to 5 business days JUST TO PROCESS THE ORDER AND THEN I SHOULD HEAR FROM THEM ON IF IT SHIPPPED. The person never offerred to even check on my order to see if the item was in stock or where it was in the process. If you are going to sell over the web,...deliver faster, give more info quicker and give the customer the ability to check the order at all times in the process on line. Will not use them again.

I purchased a Bergamo leather sofa set from Modabode in November and received it a bit early. The quality is quite good, a bit better than I was expecting. There was one small glitch in that I had ordered it with wood legs and then called back to change to metal legs later. The packaging slip said wood legs still, but luckily it was manufactured with the metal legs as requested.
I would definitely shop at Modabode again. The customer service staff was friendly and helpful. I was hesitant to buy online because I couldn't feel the furniture first, but I couldn't really find this type of design in any stores near to me. Modabode's design person got on the phone with me to help me understand the different types of foams and feels for each sofa. That made it much easier to figure out which direction I should go. I'm happy to give Modabode a five star rating. Thanks again! |

Cool looking chairs have broken and become squeaky within one year. I ordered four custom color leather Brno dining chairs at over $400 each. They arrived within the expected delivery time, but one was broken in transit. I had to wait for three months for a replacement due to the custom leather color. Now all of the chairs are a little squeaky and another one has broken in the same place as the first broken chair. I don't believe the quality is that great unfortunately although the chairs look cool.

We have a beautiful Trapani sectional sofa, but here are a few of the challenges we faced (with an approximate chronology):
Mar 23: $3,500+ order placed for sectional with custom piece and full delivery June: order arrives 25 miles from our house; remains there for five weeks as the third party shipper has a broken box truck and has no means of delivering. 12 week delivery window passes August: sofa arrives at house, with one bent frame piece and without pillows August: Customer Service does not believe we did not receive the pillows until they receive the delivery slip indicating the omission September: pillows put on back order from China October: first technician arrives to fix the broken framed piece; fails November: Second technician brought in to fix frame; lengthens its legs so that it sits evenly on ground November: back ordered pillows arrive. Once again, it is a lovely sofa sectional. We just love it. Our friends love it. They also can't believe I had to make so many calls to get the damn thing into our house in usable order. Don't say we didn't warn you... Good luck! |

We were contemplating purchasing another item of more value however we are a little wary right now and would not order anything until we have completed the order we purchased. The product has been n Back order for two months. This I know because I contacted the merchant numerous times and she updated me after my inquiry. Other wise there has been NO automatic confirmation or update sent. I ordered on August 30 qnd I still don't have the order. They have nevered honored the date they said the product would be in stock again. This has happened twice and no update has ever been initiated by this merchant. This company is NOT run professionally.

I was not told they weren't in stock until I got an email a day later with an expected ship date. When I go to my account page on their site it doesn't even say that they are backordered or have any information other than the fact that they charged me. I have no idea when I will get these loveseats and they charged me already. If they had told me within the ordering process that they were backordered with no definite time they would be in stock I would not have ordered them. I will see how the rest of the experience goes.

My order is back ordered, and the phone number provided on the web sight to contact them is not available in Canada. If I had been able to contact them promptly, I would have changed the color of my order to black which was in stock. As I haven't received my order yet, I am reluctant to say that I would or would not shop there again.
