Buying shoes online, who would have thought this would be so popular like ten years ago? I mean aren't feet sometimes difficult to fit? Well, with websites like Zappos and Onlineshoes.com, shopping for shoes online has become an extremely pleasant and easy process. What makes it so easy is that this site offer great deals, coupons and discounts, free shipping, great descriptions, lots of pictures and reviews!

So I am used to buying from Zappos, and have even tried other companies like 6pm.com and The Walking Company. All of these companies, I have been very satisfied with. I  have heard of Onlineshoes.com before and I was interested in buying from them. I notice shoes are around $5 on average less expensive than Zappos which is appealing, and sometimes the same exact price. I also notice some of the shoes I'm interested in (like Dansko), that Online Shoes will have more color choices than Zappos will. So what made me nervous about trying them out is that they don't offer the "free return" of the shoes like Zappos does. With Zappos, you can try them around your house, if you don't like or fit them, you pack them back up with a prepackaged label (or print one out) and you drop it off to be sent back. With Onlineshoes.com they will charge $6.99 for returns (see their return policy on their website, http://www.onlineshoes.com), which actually is not bad and will be deducted from the price you paid for the shoes (using their pre-paid label). But they do offer free exchanges, which is good.

So Onlineshoes.com offers a huge array of shoes for men, women and children...as well as slippers. If you sign up for their E-mail list, you will get coupons and discounts sent to you regularly. These aren't necessarily needed because if you visit their website, a lot of times at the top of the site they have an coupon for that month (for instance, right now they're offering a 15% off coupon for all regular-priced shoes for a limited time). You just get the code and enter it in the promotional/coupon code area when you check out and buy your shoes.

You can't go wrong with their FREE SHIPPING for standard delivery! To upgrade, it's $4.99 and it goes up from there. It is also easy to "search" for shoes in their search box, or you can browse under women and then type of shoe like clogs, or prices and so on. I never have any problem finding the shoes I'm looking for. I also love to read the reviews on a shoe, since my normal rule of thumb is not to buy myself a pair of shoes without a 3.5 or 4 star rating (on a scale to 5). I also like to read their reviews to see if anyone says to size up 1/2 a size or a full size (or not), or if they are too wide or tight in certain areas. This information is extremely helpful in ordering shoes online and out of all the pairs of shoes I order online, I've only ever had to return one pair.

I know what size shoe I wear, and what width my foot is and what I like best (like clogs) and what arch support and so on. This is good to know when you're shopping online. It's not recommended to ignore those facts and then find out a certain brand makes their shoes very narrow when you are a wide width. So getting to know your own foot, likes and dislikes in shoes, etc. is important since you will be switching the "able to try it on in a physical store" with ordering it online. Nine times out of ten, with being educated on what my foot is like and size it is and so on and reading the descriptions and reviews, I can get a shoe that fits well and that I love. The minute I get it at my door, I try it on and it'll look even better than the picture!

A plus to the site is that they have different views of the shoe, so you can see the front or side or back and so on. One thing I wish it would do in the future is have a model take a pic with the shoe on, so I could get a better idea what it looks like on an actual foot (but no site I know of does this, yet).

When I order from Onlineshoes.com, I got my order the next day which was a pleasant surprise. I don't think they do this every time, but sometimes.

Overall: The shoes are great, the price is right, the site is easy to browse and the service is quick! Great shoe company to buy from and I'll definitely be buying from them again and again in the future!
