This was almost disastrous. My first order proceeded well enough until I got an email saying my order had been placed on hold." We have been unable to obtain authorization for your credit card from our credit card processing service." This although I wasn't paying by credit card, but by paypal from a bank account. The email gave me options, including paying by paypal.
In the meantime, Paypal said it had set aside the funds and was waiting on OpticsPlanet. I replied to the sales email address. No response. Five days later I followed up, asking on progress. Nothing. Then an email saying my order was cancelled. "We have tried to get in touch with you regarding this order on several occasions and have not received any response from you." I don't think so.
So, I placed the order a second time. Again through paypal. Again, I got an email saying my order had been placed on hold. "We have been unable to obtain authorization for your credit card from our credit card processing service." Again, Paypal said it was waiting on OpticsPlanet. I sent a more detailed reply to the sales email address. Seven days latter, an email saying my order is still on hold and giving me options, including paying by paypal. My response was terse: "You guys need to improve your systems. Do a search. I've emailed you before about this."
A day later, an email from a human being. "Sorry for the inconvenience but we will need you to comply with one of the options below if you would like us to continue processing the order." The options include... paypal. My response: "Why do you offer the paypal option if you don't know how to work it? Both times the funds have been approved by paypal and paypal awaits your processing of the transaction."
Thankfully, all Daniel needed then was a transaction ID and he could... finally ... process the order.
I'll be happy to recieve the items one day.
