Not very good. I used a Retail Me Not link and coupon number and twice was turned away by Oriental for a 20% discount on an order that reached more than $75 dollars. Well mine went a good bit over $400 and after two attempts to use the Retail Me Not Link - as well as filling in their mislabeled promotion box - my $80 savings is down the tube - as are the 3 hours I wasted. And really no explanation is given - one assumes the thing expired.

I am not big on government but these coupons situations are getting out of hand. Neither the "retailer" nor the coupon matcher is responsible nor do they act responsibly about the data they publish. Apparently we need new laws in order to get this game under control. Expiration dates MUST be accurate and always published because right now the only way you can find out if you are working with a dud or they don't want to honor what they say, is to have your discount or promotion denied at the very end of the process and then either you eat crow and pay for what you shouldn't or as in this case in anger I am just walking away. The local Dollar Store will do just fine for this kind of stuff.

But it is out of control and if you even look at the FAQ's of these businesses, they really admit they are not publishing the truth. Well maybe laws would help them - and us - get a square deal.

I honestly am disgusted with both RetailMeNot and Oriental Trading. Where do I go to get those 3 hours of my life back and the hour or so I will spend at he Dollar Store to do it all again?

This practice so many retailers and coupon pushers are involved in would during any other time in our history been made to have the abusers tow the mark quickly. Now I realize there are many more serious issues on the table but the fact is we are being cheated and given the state of our economy, most of us really can't afford to just continue not to notify our representatives because it is continuing to getting worse.

I find going straight to the retailer and looking at sale portions of its site is the most worthwhile approach because they state up front what they mean and then they stand behind it. Neither of those things did I experience tonight and I really am moving away from what seems often to be shifty if not outright illegal methods of doing business.
