I was hoping that I could start ordering our dog's food online, avoiding trips to the store and having to haul the heavy bags to and from the car. I found Pet Food Direct through Google and gave it a try. Though the food was a bit more expensive, and on top of that there were shipping costs, I still thought the decreased hassle could be worth paying a little more.

The website was fairly easy to navigate, though it hung at times and was quite slow. Our order arrived complete and on time, though I would have liked more communication as to when the order actually shipped and a tracking number. Emailing those directly to me would have been helpful just so I could keep track of things, but ultimately not essential.

I won't be ordering dog food from them again. It just wasn't worth the $20 premium on something that I can purchase locally for $55. Perhaps if there is a coupon or free shipping offer in the future, I'll order again, but for now, the local pet store can expect us every three weeks for a bag of gourmet kibble. Besides, when I go to the local pet store, I can spend that extra $20 on something we really need - more squeaker toys!
