Pet food direct lost the last order I placed to them, they had it delivered to the wrong address, blamed it on me and refused to offer me any compensation. One customer rep told me that they cannot loose any money, but it was okay for me to loose money. Take your business elsewhere, and like the other reviewers mentioned, the shipping is very slow.

We have used Pet Food Direct several times and plan to use them more often. Very easy ordering, just go to their web-site! Have never used Customer Service, but an e-mail is generated right away to let you know they got your order. Another e-mail is sent when they have shipped your order so you know when to expect it.

On-time delivery? Yes, it says on their site that it can take up to 5 days to get your order ready and shipped. That is fine with me, I order before we are out of food so no rush. Saving money on my cat food is more important!!! And we do save, even counting the shipping cost, we get it cheaper thru PFD than we can locally. So until that changes... we will continue to use PFD.

I'm very satisfied with my Pet Food Direct experience. I see a lot of reviews complaining about slow service, but my 40lb. bag of Canidae arrived at my door in only 4 days, including Sunday. Apparently slow service is no longer an issue. I can't comment on customer service since I didn't have to deal with them directly, but I received an e-mail three days after placing my order with a UPS tracking number, and my order was received the very next day. Overall, I'd definitely recommend buying your pet's food and supplies from Pet Food Direct, especially if you can't find premium food in your area. Prices are competitive, including shipping costs.

Petfooddirect.com is a great resource for pet owners. Their bargain section always has great deals and even their regular pet sections have fair prices. I have a dog and a chinchilla and petfooddirect has all the hard-to-find toys and treats they like at affordable prices (e.g. Dingos, Greenies, lava bites, etc).

Customer services has always been amazing, as e-mails are promptly sent out confirming orders, shipping and delivery. And the products arrive fairly quickly for the shipping costs.

One great thing about petfooddirect.com is also that I always am able to find a coupon online for my order, saving me even more money. And once you order, you have the option of receiving their emails, which have even more bargains. The site also offers a bulk-purchase discount, which can be great if you have the room to store extra supplies.

Have shopped with them twice. Shopping was easy. Site is well laid out. But... Shipping is VERY S-L-O-W! On both occasions it took days for Pet-Food-Direct to just turn the package over to UPS for shipment. Of course, once UPS received the product, the process went quickly. I contacted Pet-Food-Direct, explaining that my credit card company provides immediate verification, so I could not understand the problem. Even though I asked for a response, Customer Service yet to respond. In summary--NOT the way to treat customers!

Great prices and e-mail sales. Terrific selection, however, their shipping is slower than molasses. I live about a 3 hour drive from where they ship from and it takes a good 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for delivery and I have been using them for well over a year. I make sure I plan in advance.

The selection at PFD is decent, the prices are competitive IF you have an online coupon, and shipping costs are average to high. However, delivery time is so slow it borders on ridiculous (almost 3 weeks in my past two orders) and customer service is virtually non-existent. I've found Upco (www.upco.com) and JB (www.jbpets.com) to be far better options.

Sadly, Pet Food Direct has gone downhill in the past couple of years. It was at first timely in its delivery and competitive in its pricing; it was my first choice in purchasing litter and cat food.

Now, the delivery is slow, taking nearly two weeks. Quality control is terrible--I have received wrong items, and missing items were marked off as included. Customer service is unresponsive--I have sent 3 emails about an item that I did not receive and have not heard a peep from them. (Meanwhile, they cram my in-box with "special offers.")

Take your business elsewhere, like Drs. Foster-Smith, Petco, or Petsmart. PFD isn't worth it anymore.

I have been using PetFoodDirect for several years. After an accident, I decided not to replace my car, which makes it difficult for cat litter and cat food purchasing. This company has a wide selection of brands that are not always available even at the local pet shop. The prices are good but it pays to wait for a sale or discount coupon to help with shipping costs. When trying to switch from Science Diet to a more holistic brand their "expert" really knew what she was talking about. Without saying anything bad about another brand she was able to answer all of my questions and make recommendations based on my needs and wants in pet food. I was amazed at the amount of time she spent answering my questions. Although, I am in the same state as the company, and once the products leave the warehouse they come to me overnight, it takes forever for the order to be filled.

I have used this company a few times and they were great. The first time I used them there was a great two for one deal on dog food, Eukanuba, which is very expensive dog food. I got two for the price of one and that really helped me save money as well as buy my dogs the best possible food. Thanks.

They have a great selections. However, for the amount they charge for shipping and handling, delivery of the product is very slow. I will not use this service again. From now on I will drive to my local PetSmart.

Selection and service was great. Website was well-oraganized. Thought shipping and handling was a little high, because, I do save on the cost of the products compared to supermarket prices, however, when you factor in the shipping and handling, it averages out to the same price as the supermarket, so I use the site not so much for price savings, but convenience.
