Long Delivery and Worst customer service ever experienced

I ordered an entire set of baby nursery furniture on 6/21 and only received the shipment of final 2 pieces on 8/9. That was with the wrong slip cover that didn't fit the Lullaby glider (after such a long wait). I called PBK customer service immediately and was told they would get me a replacement slip cover by 8/21. I asked if they could expedite the order since it was very close to my due date. They said no because the slip cover was made by a third party vendor. She said she would monitor the order for me to make sure I got it by 8/21. The day came and went, nothing delivered. I followed up on 8/22 and got a sleepy lethargic sounding customer service person who could tell me nothing about my order except that I should have gotten it by 8/21. I asked if she would call me back to tell me the expected delivery date, which she agreed to. Obviously, I got no call back whatsoever. I called on 8/25 to follow-up again on the order and this time the customer service was even worse. He didn't even care and just told me he didn't know when it will be shipped because they used outside vendor and the item was not shipped from PBK warehouse. Aren't PBK responsible to follow up with their vendors to ensure quality and speedy service? He even told me they haven't heard back from the vendor since the order was replaced after I called on 8/22. I asked if I could return the glider since I couldn't use it and there seem to be no certainty that I will receive the slip cover in the near future. He said sure and he would transfer me to another department. All he did was put me on hold for 20 minutes until I decided to hang up because I have wasted so much time with bad customer service at PBK. I have spent a lot of money on PBK and I can't believe the customer service is so bad. PBK sure charges a lot on furniture and then never deliver on time and have bad customer service to deal with frustrated customers later. I haven't been able to get any answer from PBK to this date on the expected delivery of the slip cover. At this point, I have no confidence that I will every get it. Do I just have a naked $1000 glider sitting in my nursery for a few months? I will never buy from PBK again.
