I ordered from this Proflowers.com for a friend at my office for her birthday. I ordered several days in advance to make sure the flowers would arrive on time. I also requested that the flowers arrive in the morning because we were planning a party for her during our lunch break. I used this company because they appeared to have a nice company with fair pricing. The cost to order was slightly less than other floral delivery services so I figured I would try them out.
I placed my order through the Internet on a Monday morning, three days before my coworkers birthday. I ordered a simple arrangement of flowers with a vase. While I was checking out they offered me a couple of different optional add ons for various prices. They had some nice choices including candy, stuffed animals, extra flowers, an upgraded vase, and a balloon bouquet. I ended up purchasing the balloon bouquet for an additional $11.00, the picture showed a cute arrangement so I figured it would be a nice add on for my coworker.
I had no problems with checking out, there were several simple forms to fill in and I was done.
When Thursday came, the day the flowers were to be delivered, the morning came and went and still no flowers. Finally at 3:30 pm the flowers were delivered by a Fed Ex delivery man. What we got was a far cry from what was actually ordered. The flowers were not even in the vase! They were in a box with the vase wrapped up next to them. There were no balloons although they were ordered and paid for. I think the worse was that the flowers were wilted and didn't even fill up the vase as they should have. The card that had the birthday wish on it was just a piece of thick paper that had a automated typeout that was two lines written like one sentence all together. Not a pleasant surprise at all. I get the feeling that they don't think the person ordering will even see the arrangement so they will never even realize that what they bought wasn't what was sent.
I contacted via email several times as I couldn't find a phone number on the paperwork or the original site I had ordered from. I alerted them that the flowers were not what was ordered and the balloons they charged me for were never sent. To this day I have never heard back from them.
Although they were a little cheaper they weren't worth it in the end.
