Overall, good. Sizing of product is often misleading, ie ordered large or extra large and it often comes looking like a teeny tiny small. Very easy to return. Thank you.

Actually this survey may be regarding my Wilderness Pamlico Kayak, which I also bought recently from REI and had shipped to store - I am very happy with both purchases. While REI's prices are often not the lowest, the ship-to-store redeems them and makes them competitive again. None of the other stores had the kayak I wanted in stock, so shipping in all cases was required. No other store had the ship-to-store option which increased the price of my kayak at least $160. On a $400 kayak this is a signifigant charge, and as a grad student I have to watch money carefully. I would use the option to ship to store again. The only problem I have had with REI is that since they don't keep any paddling supplies in-store they don't have anyone that knows a thing about kayaks! That really surprised me but I looked up what I needed online and it wouldn't be enough to keep me out of the store. THANKS!!

I used your wedding registry. There was no place to send a note to the recipients. I know that they got one sleeping bag. The other was back ordered. I have no idea of when it might be coming to them. Next time I would try to shop at the store. This didn't really work for me.

I was extremely pleased with Customer Service whom I contacted prior to making the order then had to contact after receipt of the order.
Also pleased with the quality of goods received and how well they were packaged.
I Will be doing repeat business with REI in the future and also have already been passing the word along to family and friends about my great shopping experience with REI.
Although the quality of the goods is extremely important, it is also very important that a company provide good Customer Service.
Keep up the great work REI. :)

Usual great experience with shopping REI outlet, and great customer service followup. My only problem with the outlet is they have very poor descriptions of the item. The altimeter watch was missing VERY basic features that REI says are on ALL Their altimeters. No listing of the item at the manufacturers site and no detailed list of feature on the REI site. But REI was very good about taking the watch back and giving a refund when I returned it as soon as a read the owners manual and found it was not what I wanted.

would love to have a store-oulet in Tucson AZ but REI has not felt it justified -- there are a million folks in the SMSA and lots of environmentally hip people. But the closest REI store is in the Phoenix area, where there are two outlets. Not many folks will find it practical to drive 115 miles (one-way) to realize the benefits of in-store delivery. Once upon a time, I THINK, there was an REI outlet in Tucson but it was in a poor location and soon shuttered. The town has doubled in size since then so perhaps there is a market large enough to have an outlet.

I've been an REI coop member for years and continue to rely on REI's product, price and reliability. They have never let me down and after visiting Pittsburg's new store I now have a place somewhat close to shop. I would like REI to consider opening a store in the Akron/Cleveland area. With Cayahoga National Park near by it would be a great addition to that area and I believe would be well received by area residents. Please consider this!

Deliary is slow, even though I got it to the store before it was expected, it was still a long time. Other than that, the only way it could have been better would e free shipping to my house. When I picked i up at the store, there was a cashier, and the person in front of us in line was only buying one thing (a pair of sandals), and took extremely long to make the purchase. We waited in line for about five minutes, and the customer was there before we got arrived in the store, and was still making the purchase by the time that I left the store. Other than that, I was happy with the overall expierience. Thanks for your time.

Two things were annoying -- I know you had this product in stock at your store when I ordered it (there had been several in stock the day before, but I'd forgotten to bring my gift certificates. I figured I'd just order it online to make sure they didn't sell out, and then pick it up in a few days when it was convenient for me). So I expected the "ship to store" option to just take one out of the stock the store already had. I was surprised that another one was shipped to the store, taking much longer.
Also, I recall having problems during checkout online when I used the browser's Back button.

I always shop on line and have merchandise shipped to the store. This allows me to find exactly what I need from the massive selection on line have it shipped to the store where I also have the opportunity to shop there...it's a win/win. This is one REI service that excels above all others. Now, all I have to do is encourage REI to revise their return policy. Too often I see wornout items returned under the great return policy REI has. I think customers are taking advantage of this policy and, as a result, driving up prices. I do think that if a pair of let's say hiking boots gives me blisters having the opportunity to return them for a credit is great. I don't think anyone should be allowed to return anything that is well worn. Thanks for asking for my opinion.
