I love REI - I can find what I am looking for most of the time, the website is extremely user friendly and the product information is typically thorough. I wish it didn't take so long to ship-to-store, but I know if I need it sooner I can have it shipped directly to me.

After reviewing your return policy I continued with this purchase. I live in Hawaii (no REI there) and needed a pair of longjohns and top. Since I don't know my size in Patagonia's products I ordered two pairs one small and one medium and had them sent to my mother's in Arkansas. I will visit with her in July (no REI there either), at that time I'll try on both pairs (S and M). Whichever DOES NOT fit I will return to REI for a refund. I realize this is not the optimal way to shop, but under the circumstances this was an acceptable solution. I hope my return experience will be as straightforward as my ordering experience at REI.

Purchased tandem kayak online and had item shipped to local REI store for pickup. Shipping time was longer than expected however only one day later than actual shipping time quoted. The local REI store had two in stock which, had an option online been available to purchase the item locally I would have had the merchandise in a few hours instead of two weeks. The ability to purchase merchandise online from local store stock is very convenient and is in use by other merchants such as Sam's Club, Best Buy and Lowe's Home Improvement Centers. There are no REI stores in New York State otherwise I would definitely use the free shipping to the store option. The on-line ordering process went well and I was pleased with the merchandise as well. Thank you.

I ordered a tent from REI. They billed my credit card a week later and the tent arrived in Australia within 5 more days!!! Excellent service. The tent cost me approx $400 AUD and would have cost more than $700 AUD if purchased locally. I also purchased a matching footprint which is not available in Australia. I am a very happy REI customer and will certainly purchase from them in future. I wish there was a REI store in Australia!
