I ordered running shorts as a gift & agreed to pay about $5.50 for gift wrapping service. I ordered the shorts online and the web site offered the wrapping service. But when delivered the shorts were not wrapped and my relative opened them in advance of the holiday & had to ask who ordered the shorts.
I asked Road Runner Sports about this and they said the shorts were shipped directly from the vendor and they could not wrap them. They acknowledged they should have sent me an email about it. They did not actually charge me the gift wrapping fee.
My comment: the website should not have offered the gift wrapping option, so that I could have made a different decision on where to ship the gift or even whether to purchase it from RRS. Failing to tell me they did not fulfill the order as agreed is inexcusable. Telling me after the fact that they did not do what they promised is also not reasonable.
Another issue - while looking through the RRS website, I noticed that they rent out customer lists. You can't "opt out" online but have to call them. I hate being on such lists and try to avoid doing business with retailers who don't make it easy to avoid them.
I'll go elsewhere the next time.
