I have ordered over 10 time with them in the past month. So far I have to say I haven't had the bad experience as other reviewers. But Sasa.com does have some problems.
Pros:
- Super fast delivery. I'm in CA, United States and their express mail takes about 3 days to arrive! (if you order $250 or more, express is free). Standard also pretty fast, about 1 week or so (free for $75 purchase).
- items are well-packaged. Each individually bubble wrapped. Never had any broken items.
- I didn't have the expiration date problem as the others. All are pretty fresh and still have the expiration date on them.
- Great price and very good product selection consider there are not many online stores that offers so many brands from Japan, Korea etc.
- Web site is easy to browse. Never have the slow loading problem as the others.
- ordering is easy, smooth and so far, safe (haven't had any unauthorized transactions as other reviewers had mentioned, knocking on wood)
I had been really happy with their fast shipping and great packaging and at one point I seriously thought it was a top-rated online store, until.... the problems slowly reveal over time.
Cons:
- Terrible, terrible customer service! Agree with other reviewers that they have the worst ever customer service. Well, in general they only care about making money off of you. So if you have a question with ordering or payment processing, it's gonna be answered within 24 hours. But anything else - e.g. if they made a mistake w/ your order or if you have ANY other question NOT directly related to PAYING them for something then forget about it. You WILL NOT receive any kind of response from them no matter how you try! They simply ignore you!
- Their product review system is totally NOT a fair system. They will screen and have to approve your review before it's posted to the web site. I submitted 2 product reviews w/ great rating and they got posted w/ no problem. But another one I gave an honest review about not liking it and gave it only 2 stars and they disapproved that review with no reason so it was never included or posted. So I figured out that if you give any product on their web site anything less than 3 stars, they'd simple disapprove your review so the rating of any particular product will never drop below 3!!! That is unfair and in some way dishonest. No wonder most of their products have only glowing reviews. And to think I was actually counting on the reviews there to buy products!
- They have amazing promotions on products from time to time. But they don't really honor what's posted on their own web site and change it all the time at their wish. For example, one item was clearly stated buy 1 get 1 free and the promotion period was from March 1 - March 30. But on March, 12th, they just decided to take it away. And on March, 18th they'll put that same promotion back on again. So if you ordered between March 12-March 17, you won't get the promotion even though on March 18th their promotion clearly stated the promotion period is March 1- March 30! Confusing and very frustrating.
- Products are always unavailable/out of stock. And if you ask them a questions about the availability of any product, again, they'd ignore you.
Overall the ordering & delivery part is superb. You just have to wish that nothing goes wrong cause if anything goes wrong, I bet you will go through hell trying to get it right with them due to total lack of customer service.
It's a tough decision whether I'd want to shop with them again. They do have really good prices and pretty good selections. Some other online stores might have better customer service but either short of product selections or the prices are doubled than that's on sasa.com. So basically I'm stuck. I guess right now I have no choice but to go back to sasa.com for some of the items that I really want but cannot get anywhere else. But if there is ever another online store just as sasa.com but with better customer service, I will swith at once even if I have to pay 10-20% more price wise.
