Beware of buying anything from Sears online. You might or might not get it, or they might try the bait and switch- that's what happened to me. On September 15th, 2007 (or thereabouts, according to Sears), I ordered an item from them after seeing it on SlickDeals, and it was accepted online. Then when I checked on it day after day, it continually showed the status as "processing" for over a week. Since it never changed status, I called to see what was going on, and they wasted my time telling me to call back day after day for over two WEEKS while the order status was "processing". I never received the same explanation twice, and I did talk to a supervisor. Turns out they just wanted to reneg on the price listed on their website. After all that time, they said it was out of stock but they had an identical unit in a different (but ugly) color, and wouldn't honor the price I had originally paid, but my credit card had already been charged that price plus shipping. However they did offer to sell me that unit for about $200.00 more than the original price. A customer service supervisor just laughed at me when I told them that I felt that they had pulled a bait-and-switch, and would let others know. Laughed some more when I reminded her that they could've told me what was going on more than two weeks before that. On March 26, 2008 I finally got the amount paid credited back to my account. I missed out on all that interest (but Sears didn't), since I placed the order on September 15, 2007! Yes, it took them SIX MONTHS to finally refund my money for merchandise they never sent (and I doubt ever intended to send). Makes me wonder if they were looking to get thousands of small interest-free loans to help them through a financial crisis. Sounds unbelievable, doesn't it? You're welcome to take your chances and see for yourself. Is Sears now owned by TigerDirect (no)? But their (mis-)management styles are remarkably similar.

I have also had problems in the (Phoenix) store with stuff that wasn't as described on-sale. I don't trust them, don't deal with them anymore, and don't recommend them.
