What a horrible place to shop. They advertised the appliance on their website as "In Stock." I bought it and they charged my credit card in about three seconds. One week later, one day before scheduled delivery, they call my home and tell me that the item is out of stock! "manufacturers caused the delay," they say. Funny thing...it was a Kenmore appliance, which is a SEARS company. Horrible customer service, too. Bad place to shop, folks. Heed my advise and shop elsewhere.

Contrary to advise, I ordered a Maytag dishwasher MDB9150AAW from Sears. The sale, which ended 01-03-2004, advertised the unit for $549.88; I ordered on 01-01-2004. We were to expect delivery on 01-18-2004. On 01-17-2004 we were notified the delivery would be between 11 and 1PM the next day. At 08:30 we were notified the dishwasher would not be delivered, was not in the warehouse and that they could not reorder the product (after waiting several weeks). I called Customer Service, frustrated after waiting several weeks, for a product they knew they could not deliver. Interestingly, they were still advertising the same unit for $599 on 01-18-2004. It gets better my credit card was already charged and I was informed that my credit card would be refunded after the damaged merchandise was returned. What damaged merchandise I never received my order? Ive joined the ranks of consumers who will be avoiding future misadventures with Sears. Ultimately, I discovered the dishwasher was out of production and even the Maytag Store could not obtain a unit (01-19-2004). Hmmm, draw your own conclusions.

This is the worst place to shop! I will never buy anything from SEARS again! The items are displayed on-line as available, but it turns that they are not available for shipment in "my area". The store does not even bother to send the email that the items is not in stock. If I did not call them and asked where the order was, I would be still wondering what has happened to it. The only thing the supervisor was able to help me with is to suggest I go to stores and look for the item since it was not available with them. Well, if you are looking for a similar experience, good luck with shopping at Sears.

Recently purchased two digital cameras. One about eight months ago. A Canon S50. Ordered over the internet and selected option to pick up at local store. Worked perfectly, was able to pick up faster then if shipped, and price was less than any other source including NYC camera stores and major big box retailers. Was able to go straight to customer pick up to get camera.
Just picked up a Sony U30, Given holidays I found it on the net and called store for availability. They set one aside for me and I picked up that evening. Price was 25% less than big box retailers and included extras like leather case and free photos. Also, on way out of store after picking up the Sony,I bought a Lands End sweater and scarf as a gift. Was fast, convenient, and reasonably priced. Different than past Sears experiences of years ago though they still have room for improvement. |

Everytime I need a gift or just want a little something to add to my house I go online to Sears.com. There is so many different things to choose from like clothes all the way to electronics. The other day I bought a Playstation for my son. It arrived within a couple days. The customer service is fantastic, and I know I can trust Sears. Overall, Sears does a great job.

The worst shopping experience I ever had. Purchased a laundry center, only to find dents in the laundry center and returned it. After numerous phonecalls to support, I have yet to see a credit to my credit card account nearly half a month after I originally ordered. Then, when they finally credited my account it was for a lesser amount and I had to get back on the phone again to get the right credit! Their system and process seems to be completely confused.

I spent 2 hours on this site selecting a cordless drill kit and accessories. I picked my items and confirmed that they were in stock. When I got to my shopping cart the items I had deleted would not delete. I decided to go ahead to the checkout and see if I could drop them there. The "continue to checkout" would not send me anywhere. After a half-dozen tries, including starting over, I still couldn't go to the check out. So I called Sears.com to place the order with a person. Spent 15 minutes placing the order and after giving all my info, including credit card, was told that all 5 items were out of stock. Thanks Sears. Back to Home Depot for me.

I even order parts on line for my appliances without having to go through a salesman or repairman. They make it easy to shop and their website stays up-to-date with the sales. They're one of the very few dependable, reliable businesses out there.

Sears.com is horrible. I ordered an item, they billed my credit card then sent me an email letting me know the item was ready to be picked up at a local store. When I got to the store the people there told me that they did not have the item and that Sears.com's system was "messed up" (their words). A few days later I got a call from Sears telling me they had the item ready to pickup so I made them go and check to make sure they really did have it and of course it turns out they did not have it. They then cancelled my order so now I'm left without what I ordered and a charge on my credit card. Time to call up the credit card company...

Sears took my order yesterday for a Panasonic TV Stand at a cost of $149.97 (Reg. $369.99 [stated at site, $299 at Panasonic website], Save $220.02) along with a shipping cost of $45 and sales tax $13.66 for a total cost of $208.63. Great price! Even with the tax and shipping cost this item was over $46 less than the next best price I could find.
Well, today I receive an email that says they ran out of this item and issued a credit to my charge card. After receiving the email, I went back to their site and discovered that I can still buy the item they claim is no longer available. Now if they can send me an email and cancel my order, why can they NOT cancel the purchase option of this item on their website. Are they just trying to frustrate people, gather consumer information and/or plant a cookie on my computer???? I thought Sears was a reputable company that could be trusted to deliver what they sold until this little episode. |

I had a good experience using the Sears website. Not once did it lock-up on me. The delivery was on time and my pressure washer came with all of the components. The delivery man was very nice and he even showed me how to use it.

They make it tough to shop here. I purchased a pressure washer that didn't work, exchanged it then a part of the second machine didn't work. It was a huge pain to exchange that part. Do yourself a favor and shop at Home Depot or Lowe's.
