It was hard to see the degree of texture of the fabric in the photo. It was described as "Slubbed" but had more of a "rip-stop" texture. Also, I had to return it b/c it was too big, but there is no way to know that when ordering by mail.

the service was good w/ this merchant, the quality of the socks was much less than expected. i feel i paid a premium price for the socks, i am very disappointed w/ them, as they seem to have no ability to stay where they are put, i am constantly pulling them out of my shoes. i have even tried wearing long underwear, to keep them from falling into my shoes. i can not wear a loafer w/ these socks, because the shoe will pull the sock down w/ in 10 steps. i have tried wearing a lace up ankle boot, this seems to help, but i still pull up my socks 6 - 10 times aday. i have not yet contacted Sierra about this problem, its a shame to pay 45.00 for socks, and have so much grief w/ them.

Very good experience on line, by phone and at the store in Reno, NV. Selection varies with what is there, but the quality is very good for the money. Worthwhile to check the inventory on line if you are looking for the merchandise that is usually sold by this firm.

1) Ordered 4 items, received 3. Was informed the 4th item was "out of stock", though that wasn't the case when I placed the order. 2) Paid for 48 hour delivery, thus to arrive before Christmas. Received 9 days after order was placed. No explanation. Poor service. Would recommend a different carrier for the company. Should refund cost of shipping.

I had not recieved my order after 5 days so i called to inquire, because there was no tracking number. The woman told me that they had not been shipped yet but they would be shipped that day, and was not very helpful and did not offer any more info as to explain why there was a delay etc, 3 days later I called to make sure they were being shipped and the woman who was much more helpful said that they had not, and there was no tracking number, I asked for a refund for the shipping, I still had not recieved them 5 days later so i called and the woman said they would send a new shipment and next day them to me, then I got an email saying they no longer had my size! If the first lady would have been honest with me and tried to figure out what happened to the order then they wouldn't have run out of my size, I was very very disappointed because I was planning on wearing those shoes to several holiday parties and also because of the poor customer service which resulted in me not being able to get my size.

Clothing, shoes and boots are described as accurately as possible. I have not been disappointed with any purchase I made with Sierra Trading Post.This last order had a mix-up in the clothing I ordered. Instead of a childs sweater,a pair of ladies jeans was included. One phone call and the correct item was mailed out. I highly recommend this merchant to all my family, friends and anyone else that asks.

Best of all, Sierra Trading Post always has excellent pricing for merchandise, and reasonable shipping rates via UPS. Frequent bonuses and sales are issued for customer loyalty as well. International customers are welcome at Sierra Trading Post (from my experience as a Canadian), and international billing and shipping is never an issue - in fact, Sierra Trading Post offers some of the most flexible methods of payment available. One of the items I purchased had a defective zipper. When I called about the problem, the associate was very positive about taking care of my problem. Although she told me that the item was no longer in stock, she instructed me to return the item and I would not be charged a return fee. I would definitely order from your company again. Thanks.

To recieve my 20% discount, I needed to spend about 1.50 more. Thanks to their website and phone service, I looked up some lower cost items on line that I wanted to splurge on and called the customer service. They got my order before it was processed and added so that my credit card company never knew there was a problem with my initial transaction order. Their phone service twice had a live person on the other line as soon as I called, and that was during the busy holiday season!

Love Sierra Trading Post. Only thing is, sometimes the sizes are funky. I bought women's x-lg ski pants and they fit like mediums. They must have been x-lg for girls. Disappointing. Gear is always top quality there.
