I use only premium brands, and usually purchase my dog and cat food from local sources, but am frequently disappointed when some items are not carried, or are out-of-stock. On a whim, I searched the internet for the brands I needed and found SitStay. I found EVERYTHING that I wanted, and more. The prices were fair, the site is easy to use and enjoyable. I really believe in their products and their work ethic every other time that I have used them. Nothing has ever gone wrong and I have always been happy with them. To date they still owe me a credit, which still hasn't been resolved. Still, that does not negate the postive times I have received good customer service from them. The one thing that irked me was that Lucky, my service dog, had just graduated and we wanted to put on his new vest without IN TRAINING on it at his huge party. Needless to say that was a tad bit embaracing for me and Janine. Lucky didn't care. Haha. We just over look these parts in life and move on but it was supposed to be a centerfold of the party. It was ordered 2 weeks in advance. The new one says "One size fits all, but my dog is a Bichon and detects when I am about to have a seizure. The velcro doesn't fit, I am going to have to hem it and put more velcro on it and snaps on the bottom so it stays on. They respond via email but it was frustrating for me because sometimes my email works and sometimes it doesn't. It would have been nice to have just called--That was the biggest hang up for me. All in all I will continue using their services as they are a home based family run group and except for one time out of like 20, has always produced top notch service to me. Thank you for asking me about this company.

Okay inventory with slightly better than average prices but don't use to buy anything you might need to return.

Customer service is responsive when it comes to facilitating taking orders (i.e. getting your money) but extremely inflexible when it actually comes to servicing customer needs.
 
Misleading returns policy; will do anything to get out of refunding your money.  Donation policy for refunds is a scam preying on the good nature of pet owners (unwilling/unable to provide proof of donation).

I recently bought a dog fleece from sitstay.com and when I tried it on my dog it was too large, so we returned it.  However, I recently got an e-mail from them saying it was impossible for them to take it back because it was too 'hairy'.  My dog had it on for approximately 2 minutes to try on for size.

I would imagine that at any regular pet store and your pet tries on a fleece, and if it doesn't fit (and he happened to have gotten a couple of hairs on it because well, he's a dog), they will not make you buy it.  However, this is exactly what I experienced with sitstay.com.

TERRIBLE customer service, very rude and I will certainly not be purchasing from them again.  They never stated how many hairs on the fleece would qualify as 'too hairy'.  1 strand of hair?  5?  I see this as a manipulative plot not to allow you to return your items which is very unprofessional of the company.
