received expired product & hard at first to get a proper response when i complained

Was happy receiving my skincare product so quickly, the free lipstick was included; however this hardly makes up for it being expired. Iam very disappointed as a new customer to have received an old product. When i received my skincare which was Lancome, i checked with Lancome , by giving them the batch number on the bottom of the product.They contacted me and told me this item was made july 2004. Although if unopened it could last up to 3 yrs,( if opened 12months as indicated on item) this item sent by strawberry therefore expired this month, and if it were to be used its being used after the expiry. They state on their website 100% fresh. I also have a problem if they do not allow you to return a product if it has been opened,as if the odor, colour or appearance etc of the product is bad then they should refund if its reported quickly. They are very hard to contact i must say.Still waiting for them to offer new product or refund! I have phoned but they only seem to have a place to record messages, and my first email response did not have anything to do with my email complaint to them. They said they were sorry they cannot help further. When will they offer a replacement or refund? I feel i should not have to pay for the shipping and also get a full refund. Or they should at least send a fresh replacement. Please beware of expired items and if you do want to use them check your batch number with the proper company. Hopefully this is the only problem to resolve.Do not like that in some reviews of strawberry there have been problems with payment.edited to add received an email from them today saying they will refund.However if i have to pay the shipping it still did not end up a good experience.
