I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 660 from TigerGPS during a special they had over Thanksgiving 2007 for $449 - $50 lower than their normal price. The website showed it was in stock and that it would ship the same day if the order was placed before 3PM EST. I placed the order and received a confirmation email of my order, but the item never shipped. I called 2 days later and they told me that they got a lot of orders due to the promotion and it should go out in a couple of days. Meanwhile, they charged my credit card as soon as they received the order instead of waiting until it shipped. I called them 2 days later and they said they still were waiting on a shipment and it should go out the following Monday. I was out of town the whole next week and didn't call them for another week and did not receive any notification that it shipped so I called them the following Monday and got a similar story that a shipment was coming in the next day and my order would be shipped then. I asked them to cancel the order - which they did. I am still waiting on confirmation that my credit card was credited appropriately.

I am very disappointed with this company - first, for being charged before the item shipped - standard in online shopping - and second for being misled as to when my order would be shipped and third, the indication that the item was in stock on their website when it was not.

I will never do business with this company again - I found the Nuvi 660 for $500 at Best Buy - in-stock - went over an bought it and had it in my hands in 20 minutes.

Beware of prices that seem too good to be true - I found this company through Shopzilla who gave them a good rating - don't believe it.
