Beware their computer system. They took my order charged me. Didn't ship it. Couldn't find the order. Customer service told me I would have to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Here is what happened. The floor number somehow got omited in translation to UPS's system. They decided not to deliver because of no floor # eventhough it was to a large Bellsouth office of which they deliver to daily. There is a security guard who would have told him where he needed to go. It took another 3 days and several phone calls to even get the point where I could pick it up (Calling UPS, not Vitacost). Then once at the pick up counter (an hour wait) was told that they didn't have it because they had put it on a truck. After finally deciding to place a call to VitaCost to let them know the situation, and I told UPS to return to sender (I was very upset at this point), they not only did they genuinely care about the situation but they immediatley got their UPS contact on the phone to help. I finally got it the next day. I was reimbursed the cost of overnight and EVERY rep was kind and understanding. Thank Vitacost for all your help. Because of their OUTSTANDING customer service, I will absolutely order from them again.

I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with Vitacost! It wasn't there fault that the jar of "Extra Virgin Coconut Oil" opened up during shipping! I'm also overwhelmed at the speed that I received the replacement jar.....ONLY 2 DAYS!!!!! I'll DEFINITELY purchase my vitamins and other essentials from Vitacost...They are FANTASTIC!!!!. Since UPS damaged my package and broke my coconut oil, they certainly did not have to replace it, but they did, and were very nice about it as well.

VitaCost.com sells your credit card information to other companies, such as passport to fun, shopping essentials, etc.. and those companies bill your credit card monthly for $14.95 each.

I had a backorder problem with an order and the customer service folks were totally attentive - called me about backordered items, etc. Then UPS broke a bottle of fish oil in shipping (they must have tried really hard to do it) and the box showed up soaked in oil, and the customer service people made it right... totally understanding.
Anyone complaining about bad customer service or whatever is probably stoned.
The folks at Vitacost obviously want their customers to be happy. The prices are pretty much the lowest I've been able to find. They have all the stuff I want (except formula 303).
Overall, I can't come up with a reason not to go there for all my supplements, protein, etc.

I received a confirmation email regarding shipping confirmation one day after I placed the order. Then 3 days after, the package was left at my door, sooner than I expected. I was very happy with Vitacost's prices and selection of organic and cruelty free products. They were the cheapest I found and their site said they have served many customers so I decided to place an order.

I made that order over 2 weeks ago. Both products state they are shipped within 24 hours. I tracked my order through their website and it said it had not shipped. I e-mailed them on a Thursday expecting a promised 24 hour response. Its now Saturday and still no answer. I've e-mailed them again and will see what happens.

I'm moving and needed these products before I go and I was relying on them to send them. I've never had this problem with ordering online before and I do so frequently.

The only thing good to say is that they did not charge my credit card yet.

Overall I'm extremely disappointed.

Because... I ordered 10 0bottles of ISOPURE ZERO carb, however, they sent me 10 bottles of LOW Carb,even though my record shows ZERO carb. Besides, there are no scoop in any bottles and all inside covers were unsealed.I claimed to their customer service, but no response.

Vita cost promises 24 hour delivery, they charged my credit card right away, but after two weeks, still no delivery! I called, and it is sitting in the warehouse...no apology,no explanation, no e-mail informing me of a warehouse backup. This was a $100. order that they charged to my card immediately, and also e-mailed me that it had been processed, so I wait for two weeks for nothing! They said that the warehouse is backed up! She informed me, with attitude mind you, that she will call her manager and have my order released and I'll have it in seven days,gee, THANKS! Wow, a whole new twist to service, allowing my order to BE RELEASED! No offer of discount or free shipping, just BAD customer service! My husband orders his vitamins from Puritan's and always receives his order promptly! Never again, there are too many good companies out there to put up with service like this, absolutely no excuse, say no to Vita cost at all cost!

Many red flags were raised in my experience with NSI products. I understand Vitacost and NSI are connected (or NSI is Vitacost's own brand). NSI had conflicting online information for its Cod Liver Oil stating totally different amts. of DHA in its product. Then when buying the NSI curcumin (turmeric) caps, I noticed that a picture of the bottle said 1160 mg and the description said 1160 mg per serving. It was only thru further reading that I found out that a "serving" was 2 caps. Since when can they advertise their caps as a certain amt. of mg, and then you find in the small print that they mean in 2 capsules??

My first time shopping at VitaCost, they quoted me $7.55 in shipping at the final "pay" page, and then my e-mail confirmation listed a whopping $15.09 for shipping three very small items. When I called to complain, they said that UPS charged more because of the weight. No where on their website does it warn customers that shipping might be substantially more than quoted because of weight, and it's hard to believe that's really the case given the size of my items (which I haven't even received yet, after 6 days). I would avoid this company at all costs. I shop on-line all the time and have never experienced such a scam.

Great selection of Garden of Life, New Chapter, Jason Naturals and other excellent brands of vitamins and skin products I use. I estimate I am saving about $2,000 per year versus buying at Whole Foods and other local retail stores. What a great experience it was to order from Vitacost.
A friend had told me about it when I told him I was looking at refilling my vitamins. So I went and looked through his catalog he got in the mail, and then called in my order. The ordering process was exceptionally easy. I was on the phone for maybe 5 minutes. Just 3 days later, I had my package at my door. From start to finish , it was a great experience.

Excellent selection of the best quality vitamins, herbs and organic foods I buy at 50% less cost than Whole Foods, GNC and other stores. These brands include New Chapter, Twinlab, Nature's Way, Nordic Naturals and others. I also like the fact they have multiple warehouses and ship the same day, standard ground arrives in 1 - 3 days and anysize order is only $4.99 shipping cost. Check out their NSI brand formulated by medical doctors, far superior formulations for a lot better value when compared to national brands. The company is the largest online retailer of vitamins and natural health products and an INC 500 Hall of Fame company, based on their great selection, prices and service, I understand why.

I too had the bad experience described by other Vitacost shoppers.
When I was checking out I was told that my order qualified for free shipping and that I could get more details by clicking on a side link. It turned out that eventhough I only read the "offer" but didn't take it, I was signed up for an automatic deduction of $14.95 per month on my credit card.
Vitacost prices are very appealing but given their unethical business practices I won't shop there again.

Utterly disgusted. We ordered a jar of shark cartilage at $16.38, a great price. But when the order arrived, we discovered the box contained, with the invoice that confirmed we had ordered shark cartilage, nothing but a cheap, junky bar of "Bee & Flower Sandalwood Soap". Either this company is a pack of cheats, or they have the world's worst quality control. Either way, they stink!
